# Things to Know About Us ** Who are we? Jodie (myself) and Peiran (my husband), lifetime pet owners/lovers, work at tech companies in the Bay area, currently working from home on 3 out of 5 days/week. ** Our motivation of becoming dog sitters at Rover comes from the sheer fun of playing with many furballs and the natural maternal instinct (warm fuzzy feeling) to provide great care to cute little things when their parents have to leave them behind while traveling. ** We’re not running a dog hotel business (like many full-time Rover sitters do), but trying to provide an intimate, relaxing and comfortable space to our dog guests by sharing our beautiful, cozy, spacious and super clean home (& lots of love). (If all sounds/looks like what you’re looking for so far, keep reading..…) ** Although we don’t have as many restrictions as some dog sitting businesses do and are happy to accommodate whenever we can, there are some basic requirements for dogs staying with us: - [Vax] Please provide valid vaccine proof before the stay (Rabies & DHPP) - [Flea protection] Please have your dogs on flea treatment - [Hours] We work with a drop-off/pick-up time window from 9am - 9pm, but understand life can be full of unexpectancies, so for sure we’ll work with you on scheduling in case of flight delay. - [Getting ready] On the day before the stay starts/ends, please confirm drop-off/pick-up time with us so we can get well-prepared for your arrival. Bring anything that your dogs use at home, e.g., toys, food (with feeding instructions), treats, bowls, blanket, crate, bed, pee pads, toilet, etc. The goal is to have a very familiar setup so they won’t feel too much differences than at home. - [Bedtime routines] Let me know where and when your dogs prefer to sleep at home. We'll try to follow the same sleep setup dogs have at home. -[Pricing] Our rates are seasonal and may fluctuate based on availability. We lock in discounted rates for regular guests, but beyond that we’ll not provide additional discounts as our capacity is limited and higher value than the price is always guaranteed. # More About Me We are absolutely an animal loving family! Growing up, I've been around all kinds of pets, including 4 dogs (currently 2 super sweet toy poodle), 1 cat, chickens, ducks, bunnies, squirrels, hamsters, birds...... My heart is always soft and melting when I'm with animals. I still remember the first time I had to board my dogs felt exactly like sending my 3-month old daughter to daycare on the first day. I truly feel your anxiety and stress (and your dogs’ too), so I will do whatever I can to make the boarding experience as enjoyable as possible, as I believe everyone deserves a relaxed vacation knowing that their beloved pets are in reliable good hands, and every pet deserves a loving place where they feel just at home when daddy and mommy are away! I work at one of the biggest tech companies in the bay area with a flexible working schedule mostly from 9am-5pm. Currently myself or my husband works from home on 3 out of 5 days per week. We’ll send a lot of cute photos and videos everyday, as I know you would love to see them.
