Pet care experience
With a small homestead and many animals, I know what it can be like to try and get away. Finding someone I can trust with the house and the various different types of animals, special needs and time demands can be very stressful! It gives me joy to be able to be that person for others. I take pride in providing my clients a sense of calm and serenity that all will be well while they are away. It's a beautiful thing to be able to relax! I have 30 years of experience caring for animals. I foster dogs for 2 different rescues, and care for cats, pet birds, horses, goats, cows, chickens and water fowl. For animals of all ages, it's no problem to handle everything from house training to medications to separation anxiety. If your pet is a simple kind of man and just needs lots of love and cuddles, I've got that covered too!

I usually leave my dog at a boarding facility when we leave town, but for my most recent trip I decided to give Rover sitting service a try. I am so happy I did! Jodie was extremely personable, responsive, and caring. I felt much better about leaving our pup in a loving home where he would get much more individualized attention versus a cold kennel in a boarding facility. Jodie was great about sending pics and keeping us updated while we were away. She also let our dog keep a squeaky toy he grew fond of during his stay, which I felt was very nice! I wouldn’t hesitate to use Jodie again, highly recommend!!

When I get to know a family I listen closely to the details and ask questions. If an animal has special needs, likes a certain walk path or has a special bond with the oldest (ugliest) toy in the bin, I want to know.
A typical day
We can take dogs for walks around the neighborhood, or spend time at home playing fetch. We also work on skills such as sit, stay, lay down, etc. For a bit of an extra fee, we love to go for a drive or to the dog park.

Availability
I currently work from home part time and can be very flexible 7 days a week. I'm usually available within a days notice. If I am not available, my 17 year-old daughter can step in to help us out.
