I have been taking care of pets for most of my life. And pets of all kinds have always been part of my family, as far back as I can remember! I took my compassion for pets into a successful veterinary career, where I treated and cared for dogs, cats, and exotic pets. I am now retired from practice, but I still enjoy sharing my time with all types of creatures. Because of my DVM background, I am skilled in caring for dogs with medical needs and special physical needs. I especially enjoy caring for older pets, and can even give hospice care to your special pet when needed. I limit the number of clients that I can take so that your pet or pets will receive exceptional care. I am also skilled in caring for other family pets you may have, including birds, reptiles, fish, ferrets, rabbits, pocket pets (rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters), and more exotic pets (chinchillas, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, and honeybears). My rates for sitting for these pets are based on the pet and the level of care required, but typically will be similar to that of canine care. My fees reflect my experience and reliability; please ask for an estimate of fees for any additional pets or services, or special circumstances (hospice care) or any medical care. About my Credentials: Your pets will receive the finest care available! I am a retired veterinarian, and I keep my Oregon Veterinary License up to date. I attend Veterinary Continuing Education Classes on a regular basis. I am extremely observant, and will notify you immediately if I notice anything amiss regarding your pet family member's behavior or physical status. I like to update my clients regularly, and that includes photos and videos! You can be confident that your furry kids will be treated with kindness, patience, and love.
