Hello! I'm Jodi! I live in Sherman Oaks. I host one dog or cat at a time. (I can also host 2 sibling cats.) I would love to host your dog or adorable kitty while you're out of town. My focus is keeping your animal safe, healthy, and happy. Cats would have free rein throughout my large two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. Dogs have access to everything except one bedroom. They say that cats are connoisseurs of comfort. Rest easy knowing that I have a calm, peaceful environment with plenty of sunshine (and air conditioning) for your dog or cat to stretch out and relax in. For your visit, please bring: - Daily food placed in individual Ziploc bags measured out for each meal, and ample treats - Preferred kitty litter. Bring enough for their entire stay - Cat or dog carrier to be transported - Three favorite cat or dog toys - One item of your lightly soiled clothing as a parent’s scent typically relaxes a pet in a new environment - Any special medicines your pet is taking with detailed instructions, placed in individual Ziploc bags measured out for each day - Vaccination records from your veterinarian. Due to the nature of vaccinations, cats must be vaccinated at least 14 days prior to their stay. Vaccines for Feline panleukopenia virus (FPV), Feline herpesvirus (FHV), and Feline calicivirus (FCV), (FVRCP-C), Rabies, Leukemia (Felv). All cats that have had a Bordetella vaccine within the last 30 days unfortunately won't be able to stay with me. I work from home and am able to be with your pet all hours of the day. I generally wake up around 6 am and go to bed around 10 pm. For dogs, I prefer to chat with you to discuss what their normal walk schedule is so I can provide them with the same. In the mornings and evenings I provide fresh food and water and in the evenings I also clean the litter box. Throughout the day I’ll spend time with your cat and interact with them based on their temperament. If they’re a lap cat I will sit and pet them, if they’re active we can play with fun toys. For dogs, I usually provide as many walks as are needed. These are typically short 20 - 30 minute walks and we stay close to my home. (Note that I have a toddler so high energy dogs, or dogs with leash aggression, are not an ideal fit.) I'm so excited to meet you both and look forward to caring for your fur baby!
