Vet Tech Student/Pets Best Friend!

Pet care experience

Note: I only take on a single overnight client at a time to ensure you pet's happiness, health and comfort is my top priority. Hi there! My name is Jocelyne, and I hope to be your dog's new best friend! I am a Mom to Ronnie, a one-year-old neutered male brown tabby cat, a veterinary technician student, and all-around animal lover. I've had the privilege of having pets all my life, from hamsters, rabbits and fish to cats and dogs. I've even cared for livestock - mostly horses, cattle, and sheep - while I volunteered at a working farm near my hometown of Whitby, Ontario, and also during my education at Seneca College's Veterinary Technician program. I have in-field experience caring for breeds of many different sizes, so I'm comfortable all kinds of pets! I like getting on the floor or ground and playing or snuggling with your pet if they are willing, and I always try to make the most out of my time with your pet. If they need a nail trim, to have their coat brushed out, or their teeth brushed, just let me know and we can talk about anything extra your pet might need to feel comfortable!

Jocelyne's training as a veterinarian technician not only demonstrates a love of all our furry friends, but she has been instrumental in helping me when one or both of my cats needed pills or otherwise needed restraining that was beyond one person's ability. She is very responsible in looking after my cats when I've been away, and always shows them great care and affection.

Jocelyne was professional, friendly and we would definitely have her watch our cat again. Her updates were great and we loved the photos she sent us of our Diego!!

Jocelyne was fantastic! We have 2 large rescue dogs who have trust issues. She offered to meet them twice before the contract even started to help them get to know her for free! She has a calming, skilled way about her that they just couldn’t resist and they’ve fallen in love with her. Jocelyne is reliable, prompt but flexible with times if needed. She’s helped our dogs with their behaviour issues and I would highly recommend her to anyone and everyone! We love the daily photos and thorough reports from Jocelyne. She truly cares about our dogs and we feel confident when she’s with them. If you want someone beyond your expectations, then you want Jocelyne!

Jocelyne took AMAZING care of our dog, Freddy! He is a senior pup who is blind and Jocelyne went above and beyond to ensure that Freddy was well cared for and comfortable. For instanced when she noticed Freddy was licking his back paw she stayed longer to ensure there were no injuries and she even brushed him for us! Rover was a great app as we knew exactly when she arrived and left and his report cards were adorable and thoroughly filled out!! I will definitely be contacting Jocelyne again and would highly recommend her. She is also very quick to reply to any questions! Would give 6 stars if I could ?

Information Jocelyne K. would like to know about your pet

Note: While I LOVE puppies (who doesn't?!), in order to keep my clients homes clean and safe, I can only care for puppies who are house-trained or potty pad trained. Ideally, I'd love to know if your dog is dog-friendly, if they have any allergies or medical conditions, their age, mobility level, and activity preferences. I would love to set up a meet-and-greet with you and your dog to get to know them before booking an appointment to dog sit/house sit, or go for walkies.

A typical day

The London area has many conservation areas, parks, and trails that make walks a fun, mentally and physically stimulating experience for dogs, no matter what their activity level is. If your dog prefers their own space to play in, I can toss a ball or frisbee for ages, I love a good game of tug-of-war, and my doggy clients always get lots of cuddles, praise and a treat.
