Pet care experience
I've taken care of pets throughout my whole life, and have always felt the biggest love and connection to animals. Anyone who knows me will testify that if there's an animal around, you can find me giving it some love! I grew up taking care of dogs, cats, and bunnies, and have developed lots of knowledge around animals behavior and needs. I've cared for my current dog through puppy training, and previous dogs and cats through their old age. I also have experience with anxious and reactive dogs. My current dog has become quite the anxious girl after being attacked by another pup years ago. This change in behavior has led me to be conscious and responsive to her body language, so I know what she's feeling and what she needs from me. If you have a dog who's anxious around people or other dogs, you can trust that I'll be fully responsive to their emotions, and care for them accordingly. I'll make sure to get to know your dog's personality, and respond to their own unique needs. My main hope is that your animals feel comfortable, safe, and loved when they're around me.

Jocelyn was a lifesaver during our week-long vacation. She went absolutely above and beyond with taking care of our animals and did an amazing job managing everything during an unexpected nor’easter and subsequent long power outage. We were incredibly nervous given the storm but Jocelyn stayed cool, calm, and collected, encouraging us over and over again to just enjoy our vacation. Sure enough, we came home to 3 happy animals and a spotless house. We would 100% recommend and plan to make Jocelyn our go-to person for any overnight pet sitting.

Jocelyn took such great care of our dog while we were gone for 7 days. She walked him and spent time with him each stay so he wouldn't be lonely. She was very responsive.
Great communication, photos, and updates. Dogs were happy and appear well taken care of! She took care of 3 dogs ranging from 10 months to 15 years old. Highly recommend!

When your pet is in my care, you can trust that I'll get to know their unique needs and desires. I'm happy to spend the time and energy getting to know your pet, so that they can feel most loved and supported in my care. If your dog particularly loves to chase a ball and be outside, I'll gladly spend my time playing with them and getting out their energy! If your dog prefers to hang out alone and not be smothered in attention, and you just need someone to feed them and let them out.. that's cool too! My main priority at all times is that your pets feel cared for and happy, whatever that means for them :)

Please let me know if your pet has any sort of particular behaviors that I should be aware of (anxious tendencies, depression when family is gone, reactiveness towards other animals, anywhere they don't like to be pet). I want to make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable at all times!
A typical day
Sitting: While sitting, I like to maintain a general daily routine starting with breakfast and a form of movement (I'll gladly take your pup for a walk or run). I'll spend the rest of my day with your pet giving them lots of love, getting out their energy, and taking them on adventures to nearby parks or trails if they're up for it! At night we'll relax from the fun day and snuggle! Drop ins: For pups, I'm always happy to spend my visit playing with them, giving them love, or just taking care of simple needs! For kitties, providing food and water, scooping litter, and playing/giving them love are all in the mix! How I spend my visits will be completely up to you, based on what your pet specifically needs. Walks: I'd love to walk your pup in your neighborhood, or on a local trail! I always walk on leash out of respect for other dogs who may be reactive, even if your pup is friendly. I'm fully comfortable walking multiple dogs, and I'll spoil them with treats along the way!

Availability
I’m a dancer and yoga practitioner, currently doing pet care full-time in my gap year from school. I have weekly pups that I walk Monday-Friday, usually for a nice midday chunk of time. For house sitting, I’ll be home with your lovebug most of the day with the exception of my walking clients, and dance classes that vary weekly. For each sitting I’ll be fully transparent about my schedule so you won’t need to worry about your pup being left alone for long periods of time!
