Former Registered Veterinary Technician offering cat-sitting and dog-walking in the Bay Area! I am very comfortable with giving medicine and injections if your pet has special needs. Your furbaby will be pampered and loved on while you are away. I have owned dogs and cats of all breeds for over a decade, and I know how hard it is to leave your furry family member behind. Rest assured that I will maintain your regular routine, and provide any walking/training/playing/exercise/bathing services you require. Your best friend will be well-taken care of and I will send photos of wherever our adventures take us! About this sitter: I have been an animal lover my whole life, formerly a Registered Veterinary Technician at an emergency facility, trained my own dogs their basics, fostered many kittens for shelters, volunteered training Guide Dog for the Blind puppies, and comfortable with all breeds/sizes/needs. Why I love dog sitting: Dogs truly are man’s best friend. They live in the present moment, they bring such joy to your day, and they hold the key to unlocking a lot of hearts in a way other humans cannot. I formerly offered petsitting/boarding in my home in the Sacramento area for 3 years, and am now relocated to the Bay Area. Come introduce your pup to me! My experience administering medication: I am comfortable administering any kind of medication (injections, intradermal, oral, medicated bath).

Jocelyn is an excellent house and petsitter. The took the dogs for long walks everyday and even took our little one to Petco to pick out a toy. She gave fabulous updates with pics and videos and kept the house in order. I'd highly recommend her!
We are repeat clients, and Jocelyn always does a GREAT job with our 2 dogs (one who is old, and one who is a puppy!)
Jocelyn is the BEST dog sitter!!! She is our regular dog-sitter for our old man dog, and has done a fabulous job helping us out with our new puppy! Both of our dogs LOVE Jocelyn and feel very comfortable and happy with her. When we ran into Jocelyn at the dogpark (which she introduced us and the new puppy to!) our dogs were SO happy to see her and my puppy kept running to her for love and attention. Jocelyn is extremely reliable, great with our dogs, and we can't think of anyone else we'd trust our furbabies with!!!

I offer drop-in visits and walks, cat and dog care included. *For your dog's health and safety, I am only caring for adult dogs or puppies old enough to be fully vaccinated. *Standard visit includes a 30 minute walk, feeding/relieving/medicating, playtime (fetch for dogs or wand toy for cats as applicable), and litter box cleaning. Please note that if you have multiple dogs who cannot be walked at the same time or specific issues such as dog or cat aggression, there may be an additional charge due to the extra time and care involved. *For simple unmatted cases, I offer dog bathing at $25/dog. *I may be available for special needs cases that require more around-the-clock care, such as more than 2 visits a day, to be relieved every few hours, or potty training for puppies depending on proximity to my location and at an additional rate. *There is an additional charge of $13 for hour-long walks. At my discretion and upon mutual agreement, I may take a well-behaved dog with extra energy requirements on a multiple-hour adventure, defined as a beach day, a long hike, etc. which will include wearing a harness and being buckled for safe transport in my vehicle.

I have handled all types of dogs big and small, from 100+ lb drooling Saint Bernards, energetic German Shepherd puppies, to 15 lb bright-eyed Jack Russells. I welcome all breeds and ages, and can work on basic training and manners. I will always schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand to get to know your pet's temperament and your expectations. Please be transparent about any aggression issues (food/cat/other dogs/attention), separation anxiety, food restrictions, and use of video surveillance inside your home.
A typical day
Time I'll spend with your dog Each dog will get a 30 min walk depending on their usual exercise requirement. There will also be playtime, snuggles, treats, and lots of cute photo updates. I also play training games where I teach them anything from the basics to fun tricks. Positive reinforcement only. I carry treats with me at all times, so please let me know of any food allergies. For safety, we will not be off-leash and will not approach other dogs or people. I can work with a moderate amount of leash pulling, but depending on the size of your dog I may use a gentle leader or a chest harness to facilitate walking. Alternatively, I may work on loose leash training which requires consistency on the part of the owner and generally several days of "mini" walks in distraction free areas inside your home or yard.

Availability
I have a flexible schedule which leaves me open to providing companionship, exercise, and love to your dog or cat. If your dog wants to stay local, we will go on his regular routine trails. If he wants to go to the beach or the snow, we will do that! If your cat wants a warm lap and tuna, that is on tap - or if she prefers for someone to fill the kibble and leave her alone, done!
