Wanted: dogs to love!
Pet care experience
I am a major dog lover, and a newcomer to Stratford! Our new home here is currently pet free, as we had to say goodbye to our sweet old husky recently. It's safe to say I have a massive dog-shaped hole in my heart, and I would love to give that love to your pup! I have had dogs my whole life - a golden retriever, a chocolate and black lab, a golden doodle, a boxer, pugs, a maltese, and two huskies, so I have plenty of experience with different temperaments and sizes. My two huskies both lived to age 14, so I have experience with senior dogs as well. I have incredible attention to detail and am excellent at following instructions, and am comfortable administering medications if needed. I am intuitive and understand dog body language well, and am always learning more about how to best work with dogs. I am reliable, honest, punctual, communicative, and easy to work with, and take the responsibility of caring for your dog very seriously. I would consider it an honour to be entrusted to care for your furry family member!

Jocelyn is warm and friendly, and I can tell she knows a lot about dogs. She came for a meet and greet a few days before she would be walking Vinny; she was very generous with her time, and even went for a walk with me and Vin during the meet and greet. On the day of the walk it was pouring rain, so she found Vinny's raincoat and put it on him, then sent me a picture of him in the coat. Her follow-up about the walk was very detailed. I definitely recommend Jocelyn as a dog-walker.

Jocelyn was wonderful! She did an amazing job with our dog. I could tell from the pictures Jersey felt very comfortable and happy. We loved getting updates. We would definitely use her again! Jersey was well taken care of.

My home has a fully fenced and gated back yard, with plenty of space to run around and play. They will receive filtered water, and well-sourced treats while in my home, unless you have other preferences or dietary restrictions for them. They will get plenty of love and cuddles, unless they show me they are wanting some space!

If your dog has any sensitivities or triggers, likes or dislikes, I'd like to know in advance so I know how best to work with them. I prefer working with dogs with medium or lower energy levels, who have some basic training, and good manners (but if they are still learning a bit, that's ok, I can help with that!)
A typical day
If your dog has preferences or favourite activities, I will do my best to accommodate those! There is a big park and trail by my house where we can explore. They will have access to toys and enrichment activities, unless they just want to chill, and in that case I have a comfy bed for them to nap on!

Availability
I am taking a hiatus from my regular job for the time being, so my schedule is quite flexible, and I am home full time with no children or other pets in the house - I can devote my full energy to your sweet pup, and can work with whatever you desire their schedule to be.
