My #1 priority and promise is to love and care for your babies like I do my own. This comes natural to me and it's why I enjoy so very much what I do! And I am great at it because my heart goes out to parents and pups who have to part with each other even for just a short while ; ) I know how much I hate leaving mine! I still consider myself The Fairy Dog Mother of the Bay Area! I owned and operated The cozy and quaint Fairy Dog Mother Inn in Concord, CA from March 2007 until July 1 2015. For eight years this amazing business of loving and spoiling dogs was a dream come true. Only with its success came employees and a certain degree of isolation running the Inn from my home. Desperate to find balance in my life I searched high and low for a top quality manager or live-in caretaker who would provide superb care, dog pack expertise and professional communication for my clients. This type of person was frankly impossible to find, even at $25/hr or for profit sharing. Disillusioned and slightly burned out by my lack of privacy or balance, I decided to sell the business to the best qualified buyers I could find. Long story short, the new owners jumped in with incredible passion and experience and made for a smooth transition that allowed me to take a year off in order to pursue my dream of inventing a product and auditioning for the show Shark Tanks. (The new owners changed the name from Fairy Dog Mother Inn to Waggin Tails K9 Adventure Ranch.) Currently I am working part time teaching science but am home a lot. I MISS MY DOGGIES! I can't pass a pup anywhere without saying hello. One of the reasons my business was successful was that I truly loved making both my dog and dog parents at ease. I think this is because ultimately I am both an animal lover and people person...and perhaps because I always wanted children and didn't get to have them.
