After working in a pub for a few years that allowed dogs in, I have discovered that I love dogs, when I always thought that I was a cat person. I was surprised that I was really happy to see some dogs that came in regularly with their owners and looked forward to seeing them both. Following this, I have dog and cat sit for some friends of mine who had to be away quite a lot, meaning I got the chance to spend a good few weeks with their pets, which I really enjoyed. Having also volunteered on a farm for about a year, I love being around animals, and hadn't actually realised how much I enjoyed this. Hence applying to Rover. In the past, have shared many a house with people who have cats, and I love being around cats too. My current landlady has not given permission for me to have a pet, otherwise I would have my own greyhound by now. The photos on my profile are of Tyson (the dog) chilling out after a long walk, and Charlie (the cat) watching me brush my teeth. Whilst dog and cat sitting I was required to administer tablets for one of the dogs, once a day, as well as a topical cream to rub onto it's tummy. I walked them twice per day, and if I was out that day, where possible, came back to let them out as frequently as I could. Where possible, I aim to find different routes to give the dogs some variety, as well as discovering new routes myself.
