Pet care experience
We value and treat your pups like our own! We have a 4 year old- chihuahua mix pup- he loves playing with dogs and is always with us. Jay my husband and I both grew up dog watching and with pets in the home. When we adopted our pup 3 years ago, we took series of doggy training courses "train the bay" at Berkeley Humane society and levels when we got our pup. We love bringing the dogs to the dog parks and taking them on long walks with me. All dogs and temperaments are appreciated! We are flexible in terms of drop off and pick-up times for your animals. We value care above else, we always inform owners if there will be an additional dog aside from our doggo Chaco. We value the dogs experience - and don’t watch above a max of 4 small dogs at a time, this is to ensure the best possible care for all pups and a safe comfortable environment :-) Happy to take care of either animal for the lovely owners :) any special requests and photos also taken into account during the dogs stay! We have a nice fenced yard that dogs can play in / with a doggy door and a friendly dog neighborhood. We frequent the dog parks and provide hikes at gentle incline for those active pups. Any additional needs upon request will be honored :)
Reviews
My dog was happy staying with Joanne!
Joanne take care of Quentin for a three-week long boarding, we couldn't have picked a better sitter. We got multiple pictures or videos every day and there were lots of activities for Quentin throughout the holiday. It was clear he was loved and we deeply appreciate the clear effort to make his stay as comfortable as possible. Quentin got to play with so many toys and had access to multiple resting locations through the trip.
Joanne took great care of Quentin, today was a heat wave and she made sure Quentin got exercise and was safe from the extreme heat. Lots of great pictures throughout the day.
Joanne was great. She always sent us pictures/videos and kept us up to speed on how he was doing. I would highly recommend.

I have a nice fenced yard and routinely bring dogs on walks! The fence locks and is never opened without access permission. If there are any special requests for care please let me know. I love taking nice photos of the dogs /animals we care for and aspire to be an animal photographer one day 📷 —so don't be surprised if I send you loads of pictures. If you prefer fewer pictures or messages, let me know :)

Information Joanne H. would like to know about your pet
No breed preferences! We do ask to know about your dog’s daily needs, schedule and any medications and allergies. If your dog is not spayed or neutered, please let us know so that we can accommodate. Temperament is very helpful to know, especially when a pet is in a new and different environment. If your dog is not spayed or neutered, please let us know so that we can plan accordingly! Please also let us know if your dog is not fully vaccinated against Parvo (DHPP) so that we can make accommodations. Our pup is neutered and has no issues with other pups. However if we are watching multiple dogs we want to ensure safety. Please also let us know if your dog is not fully vaccinated against Parvo (DHPP) so that we can make accommodations If you do not have a dog that is crate trained do let us know the dog’s sleeping schedule and preferences!
A typical day
Jay and I take great care in making sure the pups maintain their normal schedules as much as possible :) 1) Usually making sure the pups are eating all their kibbles/food as scheduled per the owner 2) Walks! At least one walk a day, but more if the dog is active - we frequent Steve Carli Park, Off leash parks near Palo Alto, and Redwood Hikes. 3) Typically if it's a weekend, we may go hiking on gentle incline hikes with plenty of shade, bringing snacks/water for the pups. We've recently discovered Water Dog Park and some other cool ocean side spots for the pups like Stinson Beach! 4) We're always into going out for an adventure, so don't be surprised if you see your pup with us outdoors. 5) Playtime! We have tons of doggy toys, treats and necessities so if you forget a bowl or poop bags no worries, we have you covered. ---
