Pet care experience
I am a retired senior citizen who loves all kinds of pets, but can no longer have pets of my own. I am now living with a family member who is allergic to pet fur! I have lots of time on my own & the idea of being able to take care of other folks pets is what I would love to do. I have had dogs & cats of my own since I was at least 10yrs old. I also have a niece who is working as a Vet Tech & is going to school to become a Veterinarian. We talk all the time about her dogs, a Husky & a St. Bernard & her experiences as a Vet Tech. I would love being able to sit for senior pets, also, because I would be able to spend lots of time petting them, talking to them or just being there so they are not alone or at a strangers home while their family members are not around. The only thing I would not be able to do is take your pets for walks because of my need to use a walker. I would be afraid of the leashes getting tangled in the walker.

JoAnne was a wonderful sitter for my cat. She was very respectful of my house and belongings. In addition, she attended to my cat very well. I would definitely recommend JoAnne as a cat sitter.
Joanne was great. She kept us informed through out the weekend. One of my dogs has bladder issues and she washed the blankets and had the house smelling fresh when we got home.
JoAnne was amazing with Morgan. She went above and beyond... Our dog even had some health issues going on making her get up early and she just rolled with it and the house was spotless when she was done. We sure appreciate everything she did to take care of our girl and can't recommend her enough!!
We recently had the pleasure of having JoAnne watch our 3 cats. I can’t say enough about how lucky we were to find her! She took amazing care of our “babies” making sure they stayed on their feeding schedule, giving lots of love, and so much more. She was even a great help when some home issues arose, and we are so glad she was there. She is a truly kind soul and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for for someone to truly love your pets while you’re gone.

I would take very good care of your pets. My only limitations are that I use a rollator walker if I am walking much distance, due to balance issues. I would want to make sure that your pets are comfortable with my using the walker if I have to walk much distance or to carry food or water bowls. I also would like to make sure that I would not have to climb stairs to sleep at night. I would be fine sleeping on a couch, downstairs & have a bathroom downstairs. Since I have balance issues & use a walker, I would not want to climb stairs since I would be alone in your home. I would not be able to walk your pets so a fenced in yard, or any leashes used, would be necessary.

A typical day
I would get your pets up at the normal time they are used to in the mornings. I would stick to any written instructions regarding feeding schedules & if any of them need any medications during the day. If your pets like to play with toys or balls, I will make sure they are available. If they like to just sit & be petted, that works for me!! Since I have to use a walker, the only thing I would not be able to do is take your pets for a walk.
