Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm and have cared for animals of all sizes. Since I have become an adult I have taken to adopting and care for special needs dogs and rescuing the dogs that others don't want. I have cared for puppies, senior dogs, dogs with incontinence, skin issues and some temperament issues. I have a lot of patience but I also understand setting boundaries and making sure the dogs use their manners!

Joanna absolutely loves animals, & takes such good care of her own. She has a history of adopting special needs dogs, that have been at the shelter a long time. No matter the weather, she is faithful to walk her own dogs daily. She will absolutely love & care for your dogs like her own.

I am someone that pets gravitate towards, they find me trustworthy and calming. The dogs in my home go through obedience training on a regular basis. We love them but make sure we set clear boundaries and use their manners. Since we've had an older dog with a ton of medical issues and now have a special needs dog that requires medicine 3 times a day, I understand schedules, routines and not allowing them to get too excited or act out.

Please let me know of any special needs/requests ahead of time. I do have a lot of experience with special needs, but would like to have a heads up to prepare for them.
A typical day
I love to entertain dogs and try to stimulate them mentally as well. I walk my own pups every day as well as play fetch and tug of war in the yard. We do training with treat rewards teaching/reinforcing simple commands. I am happy to take pets to the lake/river to let them splash around and have a good time.

Availability
I am currently working from home with a flexible schedule so I'm able to have a lot of availability. I start every day by walking my own pets. They have rain jackets and regular jackets for when its cold.
