Pet care experience
We are a dog loving family that knows that every dog parent never really wants to leave their baby but our family will provide them a comfortable and caring second home. I am a full time dog mama and although our home is not very big, it is certainly a home filled with lots of love. Our family revolves around our fur babies and we look forward to welcoming your pup to our family during their stay. When we aren't at home relaxing and snuggling, we love to take advantage of the beautiful Pacific Northwest backyard we live in with walks, parks, hikes, swims and checking out dog friendly establishments. My goal is to have you feel as comfortable as possible leaving your fur baby with us, so please share with us anything that could be helpful.

Joanna and her husband are great with our big pup and they communicate so well while we're gone. And our dog loves to play with theirs!
Joanna, her husband, and her pups Marley and Taylor were wonderful with my parents pup Tunya. From what I could tell, there was a lot of quality time, play time, and personal attention, which is what I wanted to make sure Tunya got when she was being looked after. When we picked up Tunya, she was very happy and very tired. She slept for most of the day once we got her home to our place. I'd recommend Joanna and I hope to be able to use her services in the future.
Joanna took such great care of my pup (ok, large, furry lap-sitter). She takes a very intuitive approach- paying close attention to my dog's cues to interpret and take care of her needs. She kept in close, communication, too, which put me at ease. And my dog had a blast playing with her two pups! I was a bit nervous about the apartment setting, but honestly believe my dog got more exercise because she's very aware of the situation. I would highly recommend Joanna as a loving dog sitter!!
We highly recommend Joanna! She watched our cockapoo, Izzy, for 5 days while we were out of town. Leaving a member of the family can be so stressful, but Joanna made sure Izzy was well cared for and very comfortable while we were away. She was great about sending us updates and pictures at the end of each day. Izzy was happy and energetic when we came home--she had a great time and made friends with Joanna's adorable dogs. We will use Joanna again in a heartbeat.

Meet my pets Marley (6 years) and Taylor Tater Tot (1.5 years) are friendly French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mixes ready to make new friends. Marley likes to relax with some chew toys/bones while Tay loves to romp around - not that Tay doesn't enjoy a good relaxing bone either.

I would love to know anything you want to share with me. I do not have breed preferences but please do keep in mind that we have 2 dogs in our household in case your dog may have preferences. We want to make your dog's stay as normal to them as possible, knowing their regular schedule and habits will help us to provide that for them.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Our apartment complex is located in a park like setting with walking trails that we frequent daily. We also visit near-by Off-Leash parks at least 3-4x a week. Jasper Off-Leash Park is only a 5 minute drive while Marymoore Off-Leash area is a 10 minute drive away. We will only take your dog to an Off-leash park with your permission and after we feel that your pup is comfortable enough. Your dog's sleeping arrangement It really depends on what is comfortable for your pup. We have had dogs sleep with us in our beds, in their crates or their own beds. Time I'll spend with your dog We do not leave our dogs unattended for more than 4 hours, ever. If we are babysitting your pup, they will not be unattended for more than 2 hours. When we are away, we crate our dogs. We also have our kitchen area gated for another option for when we are not home. Let us know how your fur baby is most comfortable and we will do our best to be accommodating.
