Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm surrounded by a wide variety of critters - large and small (dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, goats, chickens, small birds). I have experience house-sitting caring for dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats, and plants. I am not afraid of large animals (although I do love animals of all sizes!) I enjoy caring for your pets and home with the same love and attention I give to my own two rescue fur-babies. I have experience training my own puppy, Hero, a Terrier/Chihuahua mix rescue that has overcome a boat load of insecurity and separation anxiety. I have more experience house sitting than dog walking but am very comfortable with dogs and happy to provide dog walks/animal day care. I take an intuitive approach to animal care and treat each individual with regard to unique needs and preferences.

Joanna, did a wonderful job dropping in to care for our crazy cats and our 3 little gold fish. It was such a weight off our mined to know they were getting every thing they needed wail we were overseas. We came home to happy healthy animals and a clean home. We will definitely book with her again next time we travel.
Joanna was excellent. She sent pictures and updates, at my request. I could tell my pup was happy and well taken care of. We felt at ease with having her at our home while we were away. We hope she’ll keep coming in the future!
Joanna did an amazing job house sitting for us. She took our pup out for a walk each day and kept an eye on our home. We really appreciated her for the multiple days we were out of town!

For dog-friendly pups I have the option of bringing my own small dog for a meet and greet if you would like your pooch to have company (he has a pinch of small dog sass with larger dogs but warms up quickly and loves to play). I am reliable with special attention to detail regarding your specific instructions. I am a neat and organized individual and will be sure to lock/secure your home carefully while I am house-sitting. I also enjoy providing pictures and regular updates of your pets while you are away as desired.

A typical day with your pooch all depends on their unique preferences and needs! I enjoy everything from long walks, a visit to the park and/or dog park, or providing cuddles by the warm fireplace. I love exploring places to walk and hike with my pooch and very open to suggestions!

Availability
I am currently working part time as I finish my online degree. This enables me to have great flexibility with days and times for animal care and house-sitting. My work shifts are usually 4-8 hours, during which I would need to leave your pet unattended.
