Pet care experience
I am an animal lover. Unfotunately due to family members I couldn't have a dog or cat of my own and had cage pets instead. My experience: I have looked after a number of dogs via Rover ranging from puppy's to senior dogs whether it has been overnight stays, week long sittings or just walking and popping in. I have also looked after 4 dogs at the same time for one customer. If you would like any further information please feel free to contact me. Experience prior to rover: I've taken care of my sisters dog (mastiff x rottweiler x greyhound), boyfriend's dogs (bichon friends and Jack russel) ranging from a couple of days to weeks, including walking, playing, feeding and bathing (if needed). I've also dog sat for my sisters boyfriend's dog (staffy cross). Where I was previously renting I also looked after my landlords 2 cats (feeding, playing) at the time and currently was working from home.
Reviews
Our pup Rory has seperation anxiety so it was very reassuring to have Joana look after him while we went out for the evening. She was great with him and kept to his usual evening routine while we were out, if we need Rory looking after again we'll definitely be asking Joana for help.
Joana is a wonderful, caring person who absolutely adores all animals but especially dogs. She would make the most responsible and loving dog sitter. Have no doubt that your four-legged family member would be in the best hands.

I work on trust whenever first meeting a pet/animal. Once I have gained their trust I aim to be a great companion. Give them as much or little attention as needed depending on their temperament. In my experience some pets are ready to be friends from the get go and others take a little more warming up. Happy to just sit with them if that's what they want. I like to do an introduction before looking after them on my own to gauge personality and what you, the owner, is looking for.

Let me know if your dog has any special requirements such as medicine etc or any behaviours that I will need to account for. Please also let me know if they don't like particular things such as bicycles etc
A typical day
Once meeting and finding out what you do on a typical day I will replicate that. If that means hour long walk we'll go do that. If it is walks broken up throughout the day we'll do that. If you do lots of mentally stimulating activities I'll incorporate that. I do my best to make sure your pets day closely resembles what you do together.

Availability
My work is flexible with working from home so able to pet sit whenever. Work is not too demanding so able to give attention when needed. I am available all weekend with prior notice.
