Joan has a caring and compassionate heart. Back in 2009, she helped nurse her dog, Pepper, a lab mix, back to health. Pepper was probably poisoned. The vet treated her and told Joan there was little chance for recovery. But Joan cared for Pepper and against all odds, in three days; Pepper was up and happily herself again! Joan came to visit me in Texas this last winter and she was very good with my Daschunds, Snickers and Mitzi and my Chiweenie, Jax. She enjoyed taking them on walks with me through the neighborhood. Dogs have a way of reading people. All three of my dogs loved her, especially Jax, who cuddled up with her at night. She wanted to take him back to Colorado with her. I have known Joan all of her life. She is my younger sister. She is trustworthy and loyal. I am sure she will be empathetic and kind with the dogs she cares for. I trust Joan completely to care for my dogs.
