Pet care experience
I have had the enjoyment of 3 cats and 3 dogs in my life over the past 45 years . There is nothing better than unconditional love from a pet. I was a professional pet sitter for a local business with rave reviews. Being the best caregiver for your furry family while you are away is my goal. If your pets need medications, no problem. I can handle that. While at your home, I will bring in your mail and set out and or take in trash barrels as part of my visit. I will snap a pix of your pet and send it to you on a daily basis, if you would like.

Joan is conscientious about her own dog (Golden Retriever) and has been responsible for home care of other dogs since I have known her (25 years). She is comfortable with small and larger pets, is aware of the heat and other weather concerns in Florida, and is strong enough to manage a difficult situation. If she feels the dogs at the dog park, or in a neighborhood are not being safe, she will remove her dog (s) to avoid incident. She is flexible to work with others. I would trust Joan with any of my furry companions. (But not snakes, she doesn't like snakes).
Joan took care of our three precious cats while we were on vacation coming into our residence three times a day. She fed them, played with them and even took photos to let us know they were waiting for us at home! I would not hesitate to recommend Joan to take care of any pets, large or small, as she has a special knack of bonding with each pet!

If your dog has any fears, please let me know, so I may work around that. Thunder and lightening is a normal occurrence in our area. Is your pet frightened with the weather? When you are away, does your dog eat on his own or need encouragement? I have no problem hand feeding, if necessary. Does your pet get treats while I visit? How well does your dog walk on a leash? Does your dog get along with other dogs while walking? Commands you use to walk and potty, etc.
A typical day
I like to play toss and fetch, catch treats and take neighborhood walks, exploring as we go. If you have a dog park nearby, we will visit and interact with the pups.

I am retired and recently moved to Sun City Center. I have time in my life now to care for other pets when their family is in need of assistance. I know how difficult it is to find a dependable human to care for your pet. You can count on me. My area for sitting is within Kings Point, Sun City Center. If you are nearby, I will consider, but the rate will be adjusted to $22 per visit, based on your location.
