Pet care experience
I've worked with animals most of my life! I have raised trained and shown dogs. 40 years in the Veterinary Field , now retired, and rescues. I Have worked with and owned birds, rodents, reptiles, and aquatics. (fish salamanders, turtles and I even own an Axolotle!) Your pets will be well cared for and loved, as they are all a part of who I am. In your home, I will also not only clean up after myself, but water your plants, collect your mail, and fill bird feeders if needed.

Joan did an outstanding job house sitting our dog.. She was an excellent communicator who responded promptly, professionally, and in a positive manner. Joan took such good care of our 1 year old golden beagle Bojji. She asked questions about everything he would need, updated us when we needed, and met his exercise and attention needs. He was happy and tired when we returned after 2 days. Would certainly recommend her.

When I am in your home, I will need some time daily to run home and check on my pets. I currently have 1 cat, and several caged rodents, who only need looking in on once or twice daily for a short period of time, to check food and water and get some hugs n kisses. Depending on length of time spent at your home, I may need a half day to clean cages and litter boxes, as the cat is stirctly indoors. All of them always have enrichment toys when I am gone, so they don't get to bored!. Essentially, I will do my best to stick to your pets normal routine, with a little extra spoiling and play time if allowed. No dog will be allowed off lead, when leaving house, unless you have good fencing and request it. All cats must remain indoors, unless the cat is specifically out door cat. I will need a written exclusion if it is. All caged animals must have clean and proper caging, depending on needs and length of stay, I can clean them for you. Aquatics shall be the same, I can change filters and treat, but not water changes.

Please let me know all your dogs special needs. Medications, oral or injection, special foods, Potty habits, feeding times. Are they nervous or out going. Triggers? (Like storms, rain, loud noises ect.) All about feeding times. Reactions to other dogs on walks Talkers or quiet? I have worked with all kinds of personalities, but would like to know theirs before I come to your home, and how you handle special situations. We can talk over most of these when we do our meet and greet.
A typical day
I love to stimulate them with love and exercise, This will depend upon their age and needs. Tug of war, fetch, playing with their toys with them (If they want) walks, around yard or neighborhoods, if allowed, If allowed, , even a car ride, weather permitting. to someplace safe and fun. I will never leave your dog in a car alone, if car rides are allowed.

I am retired, so I have alot of free time. I will need to have a little time daily, if I stay in your home, to run home to care and check in on my current pets or run an errands, but thats all, the rest of the time will be given to your pets needs.
