Pet care experience
I am retired, but still remain active with various interests, including animals. Cats are my preference, but I have several years of experience caring for various pets, including dogs, horses, fish, and birds, for friends, neighbors, family, and coworkers at my home and theirs. I have also considerable experience as a volunteer at several animal rescues around the country, primarily with cats... cleaning kennels, socializing, and fostering cats in need of care. I have no pets of my own. My career involved considerable travel and because I continue to enjoy traveling, I believe I make a better pet sitter or foster parent. I am certified in Animal Reiki, which will be offered at no extra fee. I am also certified in Canine and Feline First Aid and CPR. Although cats are preferred, I am comfortable and willing to sit dogs.

Our dog enjoyed his stay with Jo, and so did we! She had fantastic communication through the whole process from start to finish, and really took her time getting to know him at the meet & greet. We received daily photos and messages, and she even gave him a little Christmas present since he was with her over the holidays! He loved running around in her fenced in yard & getting lots of snuggles. I would definitely recommend Jo to take great care of your pets!! She is caring and kind, and very trustworthy. Jo was amazing! We met about 4 weeks before my dog's stay to discuss all her habits and Jo prepared everything in advance. She accommodated every special thing my dog would need including new toys! I got my 2 year old dog from SICSA, and I am not sure what training she has had in the past, but have enrolled her in obedience classes. Jo continued the training the week I was gone working on all her skills that she was struggling with. She even taught her to roll over! My dog was spoiled while she was with Jo. She sent pictures of her playing in the yard and the house. She even took her to the dog park so she could run free! I will recommend Jo to everyone!
This was the first time using a pet sitting service and I could not have been more pleased with the level of care Jo provided for my two cats. Jo put me at ease at our meet and greet with her thorough questions and genuine interest in understanding their particular needs and behaviors. She didn’t back away from juggling the nuances of my 3 year old indoor/outdoor cat and a newly acquired stray with its unique challenges. Jo exceeded my expectations and I can’t thank her enough for all she did!! She’s the best!!
Jo was absolutely wonderful taking care of our shih tzu, Quincy. She took the time to learn everything she could about Quincy at our meet and greet. She was very responsive and accommodating to our schedule and a pleasure to meet! Quincy came home more relaxed than he ever has with any other stay. Thank you Jo!
