I have always had dogs around. I got my very first dog when I was in elementary school. I'm not going to say I was really the one taking care of her at that time. However, I took care of her when i got into highschool. Unfortunately, she passed away of old age after my second year of college. About 9 months ago my fiancée and I got our dog (Hunter) and he is about to have his first birthday! I generally do well with dog training because I do set boundaries and they can recognize this. I am not unreasonable, but dogs in my house do not rule the roost. I work from home 90% of the time. If I should have to leave my fiancée (Jessica) will be home to take care of your pet as well! Our dog, Hunter, is generally the center of our attention and he is the reason we spend most of our time outside on our patio. Dogs in my house get to go outside often. While outside they will have the opportunity to play with our dog. They will always have water available to them, and get food twice a day. We do not share our "human food" with dogs. However, they are more than welcome to jump up on our couches and snuggle with us! We will vigilantly watch your dog and notice if any type of behavior changes. Also we pet our dog thoroughly and usually notice any ticks that may have wound up on him and remove immediately, this will be a common practice with your dog as well (if any ticks should appear).
