Pet care experience
Raised by a German Shepard, I've always had dogs, including a lab-pit rescue we have now. Living in Ecuador for 4 years, I helped care for a pack of 6 dogs ranging from a rotund golden lab to a Yorkshire terrier. When Luna, the golden retriever developed diabetes and blindness, I measured her blood sugar and administered insulin shots. Sometimes schedules get hectic, but it's still important to keep our best friends quality of life up. So I'm, happy to take more energetic pups on runs.
Reviews
Jim thank you for caring for my Dog like you would your own !
Jim is wonderful with animals. My dog is a wild one (4y/o pit that acts like a 4 y/o child). He took him on a run!!! My dog needed that. He also cuddled with him and send me updates. It was great to know my pup was in such good hands with Jim and that he got to get some energy out. On top of that, he gets down on the floor and plays with him, makes him listen to boundaries (like not jumping and nipping when he is coming in), and is just overall great with animals. I HIGHLY recommend Jim!

Lots of experience with preparing food for dogs with special diets or medication. Some experience with insulin shots. I don't do overnight stays yet, but am getting a new place that might open this up as an option.
Information Jim L. would like to know about your pet
Not every dog is the same. I've worked with some rescues that were terrified of large noises or broom ends. I'll make sure to ask you if there is anything that spooks your pup, how they get along with other dogs and people, and what they love to do, like running around the dog park.
A typical day
I love the classic parks like Tower Grove and Forest park and I'm excited to reacquaint myself with the different neighborhoods in city. I also LOVE the opportunity to run so if your pup is especially energetic, we´ll hit some trails to burn off the energy. If you are working on reinforcing tricks, we can do that too!
