Much of the joy of working with various animals is getting to know them, discovering their personalities as we get to know each other. However, should a dog find certain other animals or people intimidating, it is most helpful to know this along with any tendencies to aggression or nervousness. I also welcome information on any changes in the dog’s habits or health needs that may be aided by my time with them. Though in the past I’d always had an affinity for larger dogs, this work has bolstered my affection for smaller dogs as well.

Whenever possible, we'll venture to a park or a dog-run if the socialization is agreeable for your pet. I like to afford them the option of a good run if they’re spry, or a healthy, well-paced walk if they’re older or less fit. I’ve also been known to pick your dog up if they’re tuckered out from the romp. In addition to well-heeded advice or requests, I’ve a good instinct for a dog’s capabilities and needs and greatly enjoy the time spent. I set an alarm to be sure we’re home on time!
