Bloomington is an especially great place to have a dog. Living near Bryan Park affords me the opportunity to easily get in long walks to and through the park. The many alleys in the neighborhood make it possible to walk free of traffic. My home is very pet friendly. The floors are all solid surface and my backyard has a fence. Pets seem to especially enjoy exploring my living room, kitchen and guest room. While the city is promising a dog park in the soon to be completed Switchyard Park, I make daily trips to the dog park at Karst Farm. It is a lovely facility with an area for small and/or older, less active dogs and an area for larger/active dogs. My 4 year old Doberman, Sophie, is still quite playful and puppy like, She is also very good with dogs of all sizes and activity levels.
