Pet care experience
I have two blue heelers that herd and protect our hens, run creek-side trails, and are trained on and off leash. If we aren't working or running, we are hanging in the garden, the house, or a local coffee shop so I can re-energize.

Jim and his wife are amazing. They watched our 2 large dogs for 5 days and it was the best experience. I received regular updates on our pups and their adventures. I can tell our dogs were well loved on while we were out of town. We will certainly use Jim’s services the next time we can’t take our pups on the road with us. Thank you!
Jim did an amazing job! We would love to have him pup sit again on our next trip. He remembered to check in every time he was at the house; and he sent photos from every visit. His pups were friendly; Macie really enjoyed having the pack come visit (I asked Jim to bring them after meeting them at our introductory visit.) He is a good communicator and helped us feel very comfortable having him visit our home and fur baby while we away.

Our back yard is fenced with a dog pool and our living room has more dog beds than dogs. The creek-side run ends with a splash in a spring fed pool. Azul and Luna are always ready to welcome new energetic friends.

Please let me know your dog's personality and socialization. My two pups meet dogs totally different. How much exercise does your dog usually get? We don't want to over do it. Can your dog be around chickens when supervised?
A typical day
Dogs play hard and sleep well around here. Full energy pups will enjoy 30-40 minute run, jobs on the urban farm, and cooling off in a dog pool or spring fed pool. Summer exercise is done in the cool of the morning or evening.

My wife and I are teachers. My schedule is dogs and urban garden during summer vacation. If your pup needs a run or an active day, you are welcome at our little urban farm. We can pause our day if your pup needs a run or vigorous walk.
