Pet care experience
I was fortunate enough to grow up with animals - we had cats, fish and a rabbit. I also got involved with horses at age 11. When I was old enough, I adopted my first dog from the SPCA. With adopting rescues, you learn a lot, you learn quickly and you have a very open mind about what works for some may not work for others. I have experience with multiple different breeds, sizes and ages. I have been trusted to take care of friends dogs from basic pee breaks to week-long house stays. I have also had the privilege of looking after cats from once a day check ins to multiple day visits and on-site care. I am comfortable providing medications and can handle special requests like prepping special meals and giving suppliments / vitamins. I can brush, bathe, ear clean, brush teeth and clip claws if the pet is OK with these treaments. My favorite part is spending time bonding and if I'm lucky - getting in as many kisses, cuddles/snuggles as possible!

Jillian came into our home for a week to watch our American bully Mickey; he was attacked on a couple different occasions on trails last fall, and now has bad anxiety around other dogs, so kennels weren’t an option. We were SO impressed with how well she took care of him, and we didn’t worry once. She sent daily pictures/ updates, and when we came home although he was happy to see us, he wasn’t at all anxious which made our hearts so happy. We can not recommend her enough, and have so much less stress knowing she’s there the next time we need some to watch out fur baby!
Jillian looked after my grumpy cat Wilfred while I was gone for a week checking in on him daily, even though I told her she doesn’t have to as long as she went every second or third day, but she insisted she did not mind going daily, as she lived nearby. She even cleaned the Cat litter enclosure better than what I left it. My cat Wilfred really appreciated her visiting. He shockingly sat with her on the couch and laid next to her when she was watching a show which he does not like to do. I also met Jillian’s dog who is very sweet, well trained and very loving. Jill is an amazing person and has the biggest heart for people an especially animals
Jill has looked after my animals (cats, dogs, horses, sheep & pigs) many times and I always know they're in the best hands possible when I'm out of town. She's handled emergency situations well and treats all my animals as her own when they're under her care - you can't ask for more than that in my opinion. I love how Jill keeps me updated with things while I'm away as well (including sending cute photos of my critters), it helps keep my mind at ease and allows me to fully enjoy my time away. Jill is my go-to for animal care when I'm away and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

A typical day
I have a vehcile which allows me to take dogs on walks to parks and trails outside of their homes (if allowed to travel). If the pet is one who stays home, I engage in play with their toys and walks around their neighborhoods and rest time with grooming and cuddles, which is great for bonding. With cats, depending on their activity level, it would be the same - engage with them with their toys or if they are of the senior or shy/quiet type, allowing them to stay comfortable in their space by sitting quietly and just being in their company.
