Pet care experience
I've always had a dog, ever since I was a baby. My mom saw the importance of creating that connection with animals. We've had a habit for rescuing lots of animals on my mom's farm, and I ended up taking care of more than just dogs. I also specialize in animals with special needs, I helped raise 3 deaf Great Danes since they were puppies. Taking care of cats and dogs is very much like a second nature to me. Walking, feeding, and bathing pets is well within my wheelhouse...and so is lots of cuddling!

Jillian, has such a great demeanor and rapport with all dogs/animals in general. She is quite versatile and very aware of an animal's health and diet issues or concerns, as well as working with those type of animals with special needs. Jillian has been involved, walked and house sat for my 3 Great Danes. 2 of which were born deaf and the 3rd had fear aggression. I do not trust my giant breed dogs with just anybody and I was so pleased to see their bond. She has even house sat for friend of mine's potbelly pig who was on a strict diet. I would highly recommend Jillian for any of the areas, whether it be to dog walk, or pet sit. I am certain she will earn your, the client's, and the animals trust.

I have a 12 year old dog and I understand that she relies on me to make sure she doesn't over exert herself (like on a hot, sunny day) because she isn't as young as she used to be. My kitten is only about 3 months old right now so he requires lots of naps and playtime. My animals' feeding and bathroom schedules are consistent, and I tend to carry this over to caring for other animals as well. Drop-in visits are focused on your pet and their needs. I love customization in that every pet's needs are different sometimes, and I want to respect the owner's tactics with them. I make sure there is plenty food and water (depending on the owner's desired feeding schedule), spend some quality time with them, and make them feel safe in their own environment. For walks, I love the idea of customizing as well depending on your pet's personality and needs. I am comfortable going to a specific park or route if that means your pet is the most comfortable.

If your dog has any special needs? That's okay! I've raised dogs with special needs and I'm willing to work with them always. My mom's dogs are albino Great Danes which means they are deaf and have some vision impairments as they age, so I'm accustomed to being patient and attentive to your pet's needs.
A typical day
My dog and I love to go on picnics at Eden Park and Devou Park. We also take walks down the trails of Tower Park and the occasional trip to Findlay Market. Her favorite place is my mom's farm because of the free roam she gets. I am always open to any new parks or routes to take your pet for a stroll. I'm also very open to dog parks! My dog has anxiety in her old age and doesn't handle to excitement all that well, so she typically doesn't care about the dog park.

I'm currently a student at UC, so in the summer I tend to have a lot more time to help out wherever needed. As a pet owner myself, my dog and my cat's routine is completely integrated into my daily life.
