Pet care experience
I’ve taken care of and been around many dogs all of my life. Growing up I had a dog until I was 16 and I did a lot of the taking care of that dog. My family then a few years later got another dog, who was 7 at the time and I was the main caregiver for that dog as well until I went to college. When I would come home or my parents would visit with her I would help take care of her. That dog recently passed away unfortunately. Then about four years ago I adopted a dog of my own who has lived with me that whole time and I am the singular care taker of that dog.

Our first time using Rover and Jillian did a great job! She sent daily messages and our cat Lulu was well taken care of. She provided us with much needed peace of mind while we were away.
Jillian did an amazing job! My dog is diabetic and this was my first time leaving her with someone outside of family to give her insulin injections and I was nervous, but Jillian did amazing! She communicated frequently and put me at ease. I came back to happy and healthy pets. ☺️
Jillian is great! Very communicative, love anll he pictures she sends and responsible she is great with my little Frenchie who is active and loves to play. She even took the garbage out and kept an eye on things at my house! so grateful to have such a friendly dog lover watch her while I’m gone. Makes my travel less stressful.

In my own home I have my own dog that I care for and I have a fenced yard. I don’t plan on having pets in my home but I am very comfortable going to clients homes and caring for their animals. I would like to either see the situation ahead of time or be informed of the situation ahead of time. I am good with a variety of breeds and I am comfortable with kenneling dog. I use a kennel for my own dog when I leave my home. I can take animals outside for bathroom breaks if there is no fenced yard attached to the home, but unfortunately due to my chronic conditions I cannot take dogs on walks. One other thing to note is I do have my own dog as well so for house sitting I can’t do more than three nights staying at your home. If I am able to alternate nights I can do longer stays than that. Or if your pet doesn’t need someone in the home overnight I can do that as well.

Things that are important for me to know about would be, age and energy level/how much activity is needed. As well as size. Any special needs. I have no breed preference, I am good with all shapes and sizes, just like to know ahead of time.
A typical day
I love playing with dogs indoors and outdoors if it is available. Playing with toys and involving dogs in brain stimulating games is always a great way to spend time. I also enjoy working with dogs on training and commands and such things that they are working on or families are interested in getting their dogs working on. I have worked with my own dog on some training skills, nothing overly complex.

Availability
Currently I am working part time and most of my work is done from home, so can be done from any home as long as I have internet access. I am also a swim instructor, so that job does require me to leave to go teach and then come back.
