Runner with no dog seeking spry pal

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Jill and I had a yellow lab for 16 years (we got her when I was 4). I picked her out because of her hot pink collar and we raised her in a big yard, watched her diet closely (got ear infections easily), and gave her lots of love and attention. She has been gone for over 3 years and I’m looking to fill that void with some occasional K9 interactions. Before recently starting my new job, I was looking to make a few extra bucks in the meantime, and what better way than by helping others out and enjoying it! Since I recently started said job, I am now only available from 5 pm, on, and most weekends. However, I’m excited at the mutual benefits of dog sitting and walking that are to come. Thanks!

I have known Jill for a few years now and was familiar with her at the time her dog was getting up there in age. She and her family had a yellow lab named Honey who lived until she was 16 years old. In the remaining years of her life, she took great care of Honey. Jill would cook her rice and chicken for every meal (she could no longer chew dry Wellness dog food), would treat her common ear infections when needed, kept up with her heartworm pills, always looked for ticks, was always brushing her coat in the summer months, and gave her plenty of love and attention (she loved her tennis balls and the Chuck-It). One sub-0 February morning, Honey could not get up on her own and kept collapsing. Jill and her family had never seen that happen before. Only a few days after her 16th birthday, she called the vet, and he suggested it was best to put her down and out of her suffering. For her first dog, Jill and her family did a great job raising and caring for their beloved family dog. It’s no wonder Honey lived to a ripe age.

Jill is an amazing pet sitter!! She has babysat my 2 dogs multiple times. Each time I felt comfortable and confident that she was taking care of them the way I would! I have a senior dog and a puppy. She made sure they were taken care of every day and kept in contact with me the entire time. She also sent me photos so I could see them while I was away! If you are looking for a sitter, definitely use Jill! She's trustworthy, reliable, and friendly. My dogs and I loved her!

Information Jillian F. would like to know about your pet

How old they are, any allergies, how to feed them/ how much (if needed), what breed, if they’re socialized/ trained/ potty trained, if they need certain clothes or shoes in the colder months, if they need to be brushed/ groomed regularly. I prefer medium to larger dogs (labs, German shepherds, Dalmatians, Newfies, Bernese, Great Pyrenees, or even anything larger than those). I’m a pretty sturdy girl and could handle larger dogs, but am definitely not opposed to watching/ walking smaller dogs.

A typical day

I like to go for runs occasionally, so if your dog is up for it, we can absolutely go on some brisk runs (I’m not very fast). There are also some dog parks in the area, so if you’re close enough, we could frequent the spot and socialize your dog.
