Pet care experience
My name is Jillian and I currently live in Winchendon, MA. I am in my early thirties and work for a nonprofit. I have received my COVID-19 vaccines. I've loved animals from a young age. From dogs and cats, to birds, hamsters, mice and plenty of fish, I've had many pets over the years. My family dog growing up was a stubborn and protective Mini Schnauzer who needed a lot of love because of dietary restrictions and diabetes. We had a semi-feral kitty who lived a long, happy life despite not always wanting constant companionship. Our current family dog is an extremely excitable Wheaten Terrier who challenges me to tire her out with long hikes in the woods. As she lives with my parents, I don't see her nearly as much as I'd like to, and I take every chance I can get to provide loving care to other pets in the Boston area. I currently have two funny kitties who entertain me every day. As a pet owner myself, I know how difficult it can be finding a sitter you can trust and depend on. I am responsible, reliable and caring, with past experience pet and house sitting. I love animals of all types, and would be happy to help take care of any type of pet no matter how small or large while you are away!

Jill has watched our dog, Paisley, for both a long weekend and our recently 7 day trip, as well as biweekly drop in visits for the past several months. She’s been phenomenal! Paisley is very shy and takes a while to warm up to people normally, but we can tell she liked Jill right away. Jill always sent many pictures and wrote a small paragraph after each visit, even during our week long trip for each of the 3 daily check ins. She was very thorough in her notes and responsive and we felt completely comfortable leaving Paisley with her. We would definitely recommend Jill to anyone in need of a dog sitter!
Jillian is amazing. Her report card notes and pictures make it super easy to relax while I’m away. And she works so hard to make my super nervous cats respond to her because of all of her efforts.
Jillian is the best! One of our cats is very shy and timid but she always shows her face by when Jillian comes over. Jillian has helped us out on more than one occasion with short notice - she is responsive and responsible. I wish we had found her sooner!
Jillian is the best! She takes such good care of our two kitties when we travel and always eases our worries.

A typical day
I will follow the lead of your pet! If your cat prefers snuggles and attention over playtime or vice versa, I'm happy to do either. If you would like your dog taken to a park to play, please note I prefer to walk your dog on-leash at least once so we can get to know each other before taking them to a dog park to run and play.

Availability
I have a full time job on Mon-Fri from ~8AM to 4PM. I am most available for walks or drop-in visits before or after my workday, and anytime on weekends. I am currently working remotely the majority of time, providing flexibility during the day for occasional visits if you live close by, but I am not typically able to commit to daily walks or drop-ins during the day M-F. I am happy to be considered as a backup for your regular sitter in those instances! Please note: my listed rates are for clients within a 15-minute radius of my home. I am happy to consider clients farther away, but depending on distance and needs I will adjust my rates accordingly.
