Pet care experience
After years of fostering for our local shelter, we (Jill & Julia) are looking for more new & creative ways to love on dogs without adopting more! Since 2020 we have fostered over 15 dogs in our home and not only helped instill good behavior and habits but also actively worked to find them wonderful forever homes. Our 2 yellow pups get daily walks and would love some temporary playmates during the hours that they can't be out on the leash. Mom (Jill) works from home and actually has to get some work done, once in awhile, which is where Daughter comes in handy! Julia is a passionate dog-loving teenager who is looking for some summer cash and is determined to not let the glowing screens monopolize her summer, while Jill is excited to see this plan come to life and will be supervising/assisting with oversight and guidance along the way. We would love to earn your trust and become your dog's next favorite humans!

It was such a blessing dropping our doggo off for the weekend. Jill was wonderful about communicating with us and sending pics and videos. We could not be more grateful that we found her.

We have a fenced-in yard and a 4 bedroom, 2 story house with basement that is fully open for pet occupation! We have one dog who loves active play with visitors, and one dog who just likes to lay low and snooze, so we can vibe with whatever your pup prefers. One of the things we excel at is helping dogs learn good behavior, so if there's a habit, trick or obedience initiative that you want us to work on while we're in charge, we will roll up our sleeves and get busy! Walks? We love 'em, and our furbabies have great leash-walking manners and promise to be a good influence. They get 2 miles of steps every day. If that's too much for your baby, we can pare it down to whatever you need. We have lots of experience with senior pups, hospice care, administering meds and other special needs.

We run a pretty tight ship with our dogs, but that doesn't mean we won't accommodate whatever your wishes are for making sure your pup is happy and feels safe & secure. Just let us know what they need and we'll flex accordingly.
A typical day
We have a perfect location here in Westwood, full of shady trees and safe sidewalks, so we have plenty of perfect walking options without even leaving our neighborhood. We have one toy-player in the house (Kahlo, our 3 y.o. lab mix) who is more than happy to share the love with other willing participants. Alternatively, our 5-y.o. Saluki mix, Jed, knows how to snooze all day and is quite happy to chill until walk time, so we're used to that kind of "activity", too!

Availability
We are really flexible! Jill is a full-time remote worker and is home all day during the week. Julia is on summer vacation until mid-August and also home all day, with only one wish for the summer: more dog time! And we have backup too! Mark is a dog-loving dad who lives with us, works from home and is always willing to help out. But this is a special Mom/Daughter project that Julia came up with, so the girls are driving this bus!
