Pet care experience
I have successfully and gently bathed reluctant puppies and kittens, taken several dogs on hikes and long walks, I volunteered at a cat shelter for a year in high school which included working with anti-social cats, I've cat-sat, and dog-sat for extended time periods. I have considerable experience dog sitting with my boyfriend and helped raise his family's two golden-doodle puppies into dogs. This included feeding them, cleaning them and cleaning up after them, taking them out, taking them on walks, etc. I love to play with and snuggle dogs and cats and I befriend almost every one I meet!

I never met Jill but from what I hear, Django was a happy boy when my housemate returned. I got repeated updates on Django's well-being through many photos of his romping about. The house was in good order as well. Jill was prompt and professional. I hope to meet her when I return from my trip and use her again for future trips away.
Jill is an amazing pet sitter. She took wonderful care of my two little dogs and sent lots of great photos and updates. My dogs and I highly recommend her!

I will diligently follow all instructions that a client gives me regarding their beloved furry friend and follow feeding, walking, and potty schedules. I just please ask that you explain in advance how you want me to take care of your pet. I will stay attentive to any deviations from your pet's normal behavior and report back to you. You can also expect several pictures from me on what your pet is up to and I also try to get pictures of them in cute poses -- I prefer to err on the side of inclusion with updates on your baby! I won't hesitate to reach out if I have any questions.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs that I need to account for. Please let me know how your dog reacts when seeing other dogs on walks and if there are any behavioral issues. I also would like to please know the feeding preferences ahead of time. Also if you have any dog toys that I could bring to the park [balls, ball shooters, ropes] please let me know.
A typical day
I love to take dogs on long walks in the city with a preference for designated walking/biking trails, hikes in wooded areas, swims in local ponds/lakes, and I'm happy to take them to local dog parks if the owner permits. After a long walk I like playing a few games of tug of war with whichever toy your dog drops in my lap before a post-walk snuggle session, if your dog is the snuggly type :) Sometimes I put on special music playlists designed specifically for dogs to help calm their energy.

Availability
I'm in the process of starting my own business so I will have some extra free time and flexibility as I get this started. I am an active person and would love to combine walking your dog with a healthy walk for myself. I can also easily stay overnight to petsit and somedays work from home. I prefer to sit on weekends or later in the day on weekdays, but be sure to check in with me if you need me earlier in the day as my schedule can be flexible.
