I've had pets for most of my life and have frequently taken care of friends animals, including those with medical conditions who needed pills, ointments, or insulin shots. When I'm away from my own animals, I value a lot of communication about how they're doing, so that's how I approach taking care of others. I'm happy to provide any specific types of updates on request. I have some personal experience with dog training and am happy to help with repetition if your dog is learning a new command! I've had multiple cats who I trained to come, sit, and lay down, so I'm a firm believer that any animal can be worked with if you find the right approach.

Jill is magnificent. We'd never used Rover and we'd never hired a pet sitter before, but Jill made the entire process effortless. From her initial point of contact detailing next steps and help us navigate some of Rover's options, to her attentiveness and genuine interest in our four-legged children, Jill made the entire onboarding process smooth and hassle-free. We left for our trip still a bit anxious about this whole pet-sitting thing, but again her visit put us instantly at ease. She provided detailed notes about her visits that consistently show-cased not only her love and care for our babies but her keen attention to their various quirks and charms that, to be honest, we can easily take for granted. I have nothing but praise for Jill. We'll be rehiring her for any of our future needs, she will be highly recommend to our friends and family.

A general overview of the care required (including any medical needs) as well as the times they're used to receiving meals, walks/playtime, or other parts of their daily routine will be very helpful to make sure I can meet their needs properly! Also please let me know if they have any major behavioral quirks I should be mindful of.
A typical day
I love finding out what each animal responds to and thinks is the most fun! If your animal has a favorite activity or toy I'd love to use that info to give them a better experience. For example, my own dog prefers swimming to regular walks, will settle on the couch to watch a video of ducks, and loses his little puppy mind over squeaky balls - I'd love to hear about the specific things that make your dog or cat tick!

I've been working remotely for almost 4 years and in that time have raised both a puppy and a kitten of my own, so I'm used to making animal care a priority. Now that my guys are a little older and more independent I have plenty of time to spend with new animal friends!
