Pet care experience
I’m instantaneous with my love for animals. I hug, kiss, talk to, and belly rub them more than the usual person; ask my fellow volunteers at the rescue ;) I’m also very empathetic for the old, hurt, special needs, scared, lonely. I chose to work with and foster these a lot at the animal rescue I was involved with for three years in Mexico. I am very open and curious and loving to other animals besides the typical dog and cat. I’d have no problem helping out in that scenario. I’ve lately befriended a giant tortoise :)

Jill is magical with animals. They are immediately drawn to her! She can stay in our home with them and love them just like we do! (They may like her more!) She is so kind and gentle with them, attentive to any details about their care and able to do it all with a positive attitude. When she stays at our home with our fur babies, she leaves no footprint behind! She tidies after herself (and the fur babies) and is very respectful of our home. If you want a great “fur mama”, Jill is your gal!
Jill was a volunteer with Mazatlan Animal Rescue for many years. During that time, she was foster mom to dogs and cats and was also a weekly volunteer at our animal sanctuary. When it comes to animals, Jill has a huge heart. At the sanctuary, Jill went out of her way to win the trust of all the shy, timid and nervous dogs. She cuddled motherless puppies and kittens. And she made a point of spending time with every animal in recovery from injury, illness, or surgery. Jill fostered all types of animals from senior dogs to newborn kittens. The animals she fostered were lucky indeed. She dedicated herself to their wellbeing and advocated for them until they finally found their forever home. You can feel very confident entrusting your pet to Jill's care.
We met Jill R. while she was actively fostering rescued animals. When our regular pet sitter was unavailable to take our dog into her home for our vacation, we asked Jill if she would let Ollie join her dog and the fosters for a week. She agreed to help us out, and Ollie got individualized care and lots of love while he was with her. Jill sent us lots of photos and videos with her regular reports to assure us that our fur baby was doing well. After returning home, several friends mentioned they had seen Ollie, Jill and her dog, Matilda, out walking and playing on the beach. If you are in need of a trustworthy, extremely capable dogsitter, I highly recommend Jill R. Dogs love her and she gives her all to them.

I will most definitely follow your rules for your pets. Whether they are best with one hug per hour or kindness from a distance or sitting on my lap for an entire movie, then that’s what I’ll give them. We can amble along on a walk at their pace, sniffing & saying hello to others or walk with a steady pace for exercise. They can help me eat my lunch, or not. Just tell me their needs and wants. I work hard for animals to feel happy and secure.

Tell me anything you’d like to share! I’m an elementary teacher and quite used to it. Knowing personalities and needs and quirks ahead of time works well for the both of us.
A typical day
We will walk and explore and get brushed, pet/rubbed, hugged and kissed. I will talk to them and ask them questions :) We can toss balls, pull strings, play hide ‘n seek and get the mouse! We will definitely curl up together on the sofa; they can use me as a pillow or vice versa ;) Your pets can sleep with me, unless perhaps they’re a Great Dane, and even then I’m not honestly opposed to it, especially if there are any sad eyes.

Availability
I am currently only doing this besides volunteering at the rescue and loving on my own fur babies. My full time elementary teaching days are over and now my time & energy is for the four leggeds.
