Pet care experience
David (Jill's boyfriend & roommate!) and I have both been life-long dog owners. Between the two of us, we have grown and taken an active part in training and caring for German Shepherds, Labs, Pitbull Mixes, as well as a Shiba Inu puppy from 8 weeks old. We do not have any dogs (yet!), as Jill just completed her PhD in clinical psychology and we are navigating a very recent move to the Chicagoland area. We would love to spend our first several months back in the Midwest caring for your pup(s), as we want as much time with dog sitting as possible before we adopt one ourselves in the coming year. :)

Jill was great!
Jill was fantastic with Moki! We came to Rover needing a last minute sitter, and the experience was amazing. Jill was very organized and knew all the right questions to ask. I felt very comfortable, and it was like dropping her off at a trusted friend's house. Moki came back very happy, and I will definitely look to Jill when needing another Rover sitter.
Jill was awesome during a long weekend with our pup Winston. She was super responsive to messages and texts, provided updates and photos, and was really engaged and thoughtful in assessing and caring for our guy. He seemed to really take to her and behave himself nicely -- a testament to Jill's ability with dogs, as Winston is only ten months and can be a handful at times. He seemed to get plenty of attention and activity. Will definitely use Jill again!

Our apartment is incredibly dog friendly. We live on a floor designated for dog owners, have plenty of outdoor green space for walks, etc., and even have an a dog grooming amenity. Dogs are more than welcome on our couch, bed, and fenced-in balcony equipped with a dog bed. :D

A typical day
Walks around Deerfield right out our front door, trips to dog-friendly restaurants or breweries, and light runs or hikes if you think your pup would be up for it!

David is in nursing school (gone for 4 hours a day on Tuesdays and Thursdays) and Jill teleworks 1 day a week, so someone is almost always home.
