Had two Saint Bernard and a German Shepherd all at the same time, that have passed from old age during my twenties\early thirties. I know the struggles of getting away for a weekend when you have dogs. Love big dogs and the tiny guys. Have one special needy 12 year old cat that have had since a kitten. Need to know if your dog is kitty friendly as he is unable to run, nor jump. His back legs do not work. Even rambunctious animals usually recognize he is special though. I have taken in one of the dogs I used to watch from Rover. He may be here shortish term, or he might be with me forever. Either way, he is a great dog all around. He is the pit in my previous pictures. I don't do this much anymore. You would have to have a special need dog, maybe a gentle giant that you can't find someone else to watch. I set my rates crazy high as I just really don't want to be stuck with most dogs. I have had enough pee'ing all over my home from dogs that owners said are 100% potty trained. I love dogs, but not untrained dogs that owners obviously know are more than a handful but do not want to be truthful about. If you need a sitter with large dog experience and yours is decently well behaved, contact me and we can discuss rates. I truly understand about trying to go on a vacation with huge dogs. I have a job that allows me to leave almost anytime during the day if you need to drop off or pick up at an odd time. Can pop in if needed during the day to your house if near by to I10 and beltway 8 on the Eastside. If your dog likes the dog park, will take them over to the dog park that is close to my home on the beltway. Walks in the evening are the norm. I recently had a doggy get sick the night after leaving and even though my house was as doggy proof as I thought it needed to be, I have taken extra steps to make sure any food items are put away and nothing extra is out anywhere. I truly want every pup to have a good vacation while you are away. I am a Chemist who works at a chemical plant.
