I have 3 large lab mixes and you may have seen me walking in the Rocky Point Heights, Utsalady, Maple Grove areas, although we love going to the various parks around the island (especially Cama Beach!) We walk our dogs at least twice a day. I can read a dog's body and know when a situation might occur with another dog or person. I wake up early, and don't mind walking when it's cold, in the rain or snow! I I have a bright headlamp when it's dark, and have a bright flashing light I can attach to your dog if you want (or I attach it to me). I love all dogs and will provide them love but also follow whatever care instructions you leave for me. I can handle your dog(s) when they see deer, rabbits and squirrels. Our oldest dog, TD has developed noise anxiety since we moved from Hawaii in 2010. Nothing works, but what does work is I rub a drop of lavender in my hands, let him smell (he doesn't like the lavendar plant, but knows that the lavender will make him less anxious), and then massage him around his ears and neck. He calms enough to lie down, but is still panting.
