Hi, I'm Jill.... We are a small family that loves animals! I am a teacher and have more time in the summer to lavish you canine kids with lots of attention and TLC! During the school year, I also take in dogs, but prefer to limit to weekends, since I am at work during the school day. I have had dogs and cats for much of my life and think of my pets as part of the family. We currently have two small dogs: a Pomeranian mix, and a Chihuahua Maltese mix. They usually enjoy playing with our guests! Between the kids and the dogs, there is plenty of opportunity for tummy rubs, lap time, play and walks! We also have a cat that spends a lot of time outdoors, but lets herself in through the doggie door at will. If I have dogs with food or other issues, I can make use of gates to separate, if necessary. We have a small doggie door going from our kitchen to our back deck and yard. The small backyard is fenced, and there is enough room to run, but, as I said, it is fairly small, as backyards go. We live in a small, quiet subdivision and my house backs up to a hill and woods and has a retaining wall. We also live near a trail that runs along a creek in the woods, which is a great place to walk! Note: We will be moving to a new home in the near future (still in the Lexington area). When we get settled and are ready to have guests again, it should be even better!
