Pet care experience
I have always connected with animals. I find it mutually beneficial that I can share my undying love for and consideration for animals through a job I can do part-time. I am also a former teacher with a very tender heart for helping. You will find I'm really knowledgeable and exuberant and I'll love to chat with you and send you tons of photos. I have taken a class certification on Coursera from the University of Edinburgh on dog and cat behavior and psychology called "The Truth About Cats and Dogs". Max, my husband, is also a natural and animals are very drawn to him, and he has a natural inclination for pet care .I often get support from Max due to injuries and illness, or because of our schedules. He will be helping care for your pet with me, but if there is anything medical, I will handle that without support. We recently lost our senior dog, Marlowe, and now we are a one-pet home with a cat. Because our dog was very old and because my cat is diabetic, I have a lot of experience with administering meds or caring for animals with medical needs.
Reviews
Jill took wonderful care of our pup. He can be slow to warm up to people and she was very patient and knowledgable with how to approach him to make him feel comfortable. Jill provided updates and pictures every day and he was clearly happy and well taken care of when we picked him up. I will definitely be asking her to care for our little guy again!
Jill and her partner were very easy to communicate with and took great care of our pup. Would highly recommend Jill!
Jill and her partner were absolutely amazing with Pebbles! They gave her so much love and exercise. Jill sent me tons of pictures on all of their escapades and I felt totally at ease leaving my baby with her. I would absolutely recommend her and 100% would book again! 10/10 person and dog boarder
My dogs were well cared for and seemed to really enjoy their time at Jill’s place. Jill is an experienced sitter and was comfortable with my dogs’ sometimes weird behavior. Communication was great and she sent lots of pictures which I appreciated. I would highly recommend this sitter.

During the summer and occasionally during the school year I will have 2-3 dogs in my apartment. I am very playful and very attentive, I also have a dog park near where I live which makes it easy to take most pets out for longer walks when I have our shared car. This is a home where cannabis may be used, but not in a way that would be detrimental to pets.

Information Jill A. would like to know about your pet
I would need to know feeding schedule, preferred toys, medical needs, preferred time of visit, etc. I would love to know how the dog feels or acts when separated from its owner as well and some of their idiosyncrasies. Let's schedule a meet and greet.
A typical day
I try to walk the dogs I work with at least three to four times a day on a day I have free time, and of course I occasionally go to the dog park when I don't have too much going on. When I am working the dogs get more of a short three walks. We have a large living room and I play a lot indoors. When I work with cats we spend as much time as possible playing.

Availability
I tend to have time before or after work flexibly, and during the summer months I am very open when I am not traveling to visit family. I travel a lot less than I used to more recently.
