Your dogs best-friend

Pet care experience

I am always available to play with your dog, and cater to your cats need. I am always available to play with your dog, and cater to your cats need. I love them, and they always reciprocate the love. Growing up with multiple pets and always being surrounded by dogs, I am absolutely the best with them. They love me! They're good with me, no matter what the size. I've always loved and preferred the company of furry friends, and that is why Rover has been such a great fit for me. As a graduate student, I've flexible hours and lots of remote work, which makes it very easy to cater to the needs of my furry friends on all occasions. I spent some of my weekends in Cumberland, RI, which is about 45 mins away. I am always in Boston during the week and don't mind dropping or picking my repeat clients. f you book with me, what to expect: 1) I will be doing plenty of activities with your dogs, 2) there will be tons of pictures, 3) I prefer to feed them only what food is given to me by you, or instructed otherwise 4) I will probably (at times) buy them new toys, treats, leash or something I find cute on them, you're under no obligation to use or keep any of it. By the end of the stay, I can guarantee your dog would've had a lovely time.

Jia took care of Loki for the holidays and he had a blast! She even was nice enough to get him a new toy, which he still loves.

Overall, I'm afraid I wasn't terribly pleased with my experience with Jia. My dog seems ok, and I'm sure Jia is a nice person, but she was not very communicative and often did not seem able to answer questions in a direct way. I noticed at the meet-and-greet that our interaction was a bit strange, but she seemed fine with my dog, so I went ahead with the booking. I had asked for updates and photos, but of the 14 days I was away, Jia only communicated with me briefly on 3 days. The night before my return, I tried to contact her to confirm a pick-up time, but 14 hours went by and I received no reply. When my flight landed, I messaged her again, and then called her. She did pick up the phone, and when I asked about her non-responsiveness, she started talking about a trip she had next week that she had been packing for, which did not seem terribly relevant to me. When I went to pick my dog up, she at first did not return my dog's food and water bowl. When I asked her where the bowls were, she said that my dog ate just fine out of the bowl she already had at her apartment. I said that I was sure that I had brought the bowls and asked if she knew where they were, but she then said she wasn't sure where they were. I asked her to look for them again, but she said that because she had been packing for her upcoming trip, there was stuff everywhere and she couldn't see the bowls. She did offer to drop them off the next day, but I didn't want to extend the process longer than necessary, especially since she seemed so scattered and was not very responsive, so I asked her to look again. She looked in her apartment and couldn't find them. When I urged her to look further, she finally went to her car and found them there. I didn't quite understand at that point why the bowls were in the car. But that was subsequently revealed -- the most concerning thing about the entire experience was that when I asked how my dog had been, she said she had been worried about how she would do in the car, since she went to her boyfriend's house and it was pretty far away. If I caught the name of the town correctly, she drove to another state. I want to underscore that NOT ONCE did Jia ask me if it was ok to bring my dog out of town or out of state. I consider it highly irresponsible for a dog sitter not to get the green light for such a thing from the owner in advance. However, at that point, I was exhausted and it was already pretty taxing trying to communicate with her, so I left. I think Jia probably really likes dogs a lot and does well with them, but she seems very scattered and doesn't communicate clearly. Most importantly, she should let owners know if she plans to travel with their pets so they can decide whether this is something they are ok with when making their booking.

Jia is the consummate dog sitter. I have a small lhasa poo named Chloe who I’ve entrusted to Jia’s care on numerous occasions and she has never disappointed. Chloe is pretty high maintenance and can be a bit of a menace, but Jia is always more than happy to take her, and has a way with dogs that is nothing short of impressive. She is very flexible, attentive, and extremely caring. She’ll always keep me informed on how Chloe is doing, and never hesitates to send plenty of pictures. Jia is always a pleasure to work with and I’d highly recommend her to anyone.

Jia is very experienced with dogs and you can tell she loves animals and know how to handle them. My dog Mimi is with jia when I travel and she loves her. Normally Mimi is a difficult little dog and don’t like anyone to sit her, but she is totally happy with Jia! I highly recommend jia!
