Hiking with dogs, playing with cats
Pet care experience
If your furry kids need significant exercise and mental stimulation, and if you value clear communication and regular, fun updates when your 'kids' are in someone else's care, then I'm your guy. My main service involves going on 1-3 hour hikes with high-energy breeds. I also offer boarding and daycare services at my home for dogs, so long as they can join for the hikes and are cool with cats. And I'm happy to go to your home to check-in on cats, puppies, fish, etc. for playing, bathroom breaks, and litter box maintenance while you're at work or on vacation. A bit about my background caring for animals: I've got over 40 years of experience caring for many kinds of animals, starting with my own pets as a young child -- including several exotic pets. In my teens, I helped to train Canadian champion sled dogs and later became a certified dog trainer. I have three of my own furry kids: a black male kitten and two young female Norwegian Elkhounds. All clients get short video clips of what their furry family members get up to with me. Because the Rover App doesn't support videos, my stats show only 70% of clients getting photo updates. 100% of my clients get image-updates (videos and/or photos), sent to their cell phones and/or emails. It's perhaps also relevant to note how my career relates to caring for people's pets: I own and run a science textbook editing business and also run a non-profit organization that helps under-served youth participate in organized sports and to finish high school. This allows me to work from home about 90% of the time; as a result, I'm often available to host dogs and also to take frequent dog walks as a highly welcome and necessary break from the computer. My ideal is to spend as much time outdoors as possible -- and with lovely dogs while I'm out there. In short, I structure my day job around my leisure activities, and I believe in fairly monetizing almost all of what I do should the opportunity exist. * * * Give me a shout for a meet-and-greet, or to book something today for the near future. I'm often booked out a few weeks in advance, which isn't necessarily apparent on Rover's calendar (as I have many private clients before having joined Rover). But I'm often able to shift things around to accommodate new clients. Let's have a quick chat to see how I can help you out! Cheers, Greg
Reviews
Nova had an amazing time on his walk! He was instantly confident and at ease with JG P and his beautiful dogs. He came home happily content and well exercised. I loved seeing photo's and video's of our very bouncy, happy dog while he was away! I'm happy to recommend this dog walker.
Greg was fantastic with our dog Arthur. We got so many great updates with photos and videos of all the fun stuff they were doing. Greg has two lovely dogs who were super welcoming and friendly too. I would recommend Greg for anyone who wants to have their dog looked after with great care and attention and somewhere that provides lots of activity and exercise.
Words cannot express this 5 star review, the service for my 12 week year old puppy was beyond exceptional. I was in such a pinch to find a sitter and Greg was unbelievable from start to finish. Not only that my puppy made some new friends ! Thank you so much Greg! We are blessed to meet you!
We could not have asked for a better person to look after our two dogs.
