Working in an animal shelter, I spent a lot of time caring for various dog breeds with different temperaments and behaviors. What I ask from clients is that if their pets are significantly people-shy or show signs of dog reactiveness, to disclose that information to me beforehand. While I have always been able to adapt to the unexpected, for everyone’s safety it is important to prepare for any . My experience and knowledge are somewhat limited when it comes to aggression, but I do what I can n a tense or confusing situation. I am a big supporter of proving updates with the clients so that they can know their pups are in good hands and enjoying themselves. Even prior to the confirmed booking, it is important that the clients know that I am prepared put their pup’s care first. I ask questions before and during the stay, and check for any concerns and questions that they may have. Clients are always welcome to contact me if they ever have any questions before, during, and after — especially if this is a first visit. This can be a stressful experience initially for both the parents and pups, so I want to make both feel at ease.

I live in Minnesota — the land of 10,000 lakes, and tons of parks and hiking trails. In warmer weather, we can spend more time outside at the parks or on the trails. I will typically ask the clients what activities their pups enjoy the most and if they can go to the park or on a hike — I'm pretty much up for anything :) I try to make sure I’m available to provide my full attention and best care possible. I can provide overnight visits with morning walks and afternoon/evening/late night visits. When necessary, I can adjust my schedule to be accommodating to pups that have extenuating needs. I’d want to be aware of this prior to our first meeting. I would never agree to a pet sit without knowing the full extent and needs of the pup and their pack!
