Hello! My name is Jessyka. NE DC, NW DC, and NoVa. I have been professionally dog walking on a part time to full time basis since June of 2017. I was human for over five years to a Pit/Boxer named Lily. She had severe stranger aggression and separation anxiety. I spent years training and rehabbing her before she passed, with great success! Through my work with her, and numerous four legged clients of all types, I have become very adept at working with dogs with personality quirks! I now have a terrier mix who lives with me, named Cadence. When I’m not caring for pets, I am a professional dance artist. I am a very active person who loves biking, hiking, and rollerblading. Large or small, energetic or lackadaisical, I’m so excited to meet your pups and get them outside!!

Jessyka was gracious enough to watch my three fur babies for two weeks while I went on vacation and I’m very glad I picked her! The dogs absolutely loved her and got along well with her dog also. She was very attentive and communicated often by sending updates and pictures. Absolutely no concerns while I was away which I am grateful for. Would definitely pick her again to watch my pups!
Jessyka was AMAZING. She watched my 2 cats and 1 dog for the week while I was out of town and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. She gave me daily updates with tons of pictures as requested and made sure all of my critters were comfortable and happy. Jessyka was so great! We had another sitter cancel last minute and she came to the rescue to sit our two kittens for the weekend, including administering medication and keeping to their more frequent feeding schedule. Jessyka obviously loves to care for animals, and she sent us lots of updates and pictures during the sitting. We came home to two happy cats! Would highly recommend Jessyka.

A typical day
I love to be outdoors walking and hiking. I am very active and make a point to cater to the activity needs of each individual pet in my care. Whether it’s a speed walk around the neighborhood, a jaunt through local wooded trails, indoor playtime, fetch in your yard, or calming snuggles on the couch - your pet will be well taken care of in the way that makes them most comfortable.

Availability
I work full time but my schedule is variable. I can complete early morning and late night visits, in addition to a variety of daytime time blocks. My friendly 35 lb dog will often accompany me on house sits, but if your pet doesn’t want to hang with her I can leave her home. They will never be left unattended together.
