I have been a 110% animal person since birth. I grew up around farms and reserves and have had various (and usually multiple) pets since day one and I have no interest in it being any other way! I have dealt with pets in all life stages, with various special needs and medical issues. Animals of all shapes, sizes and breeds completely light me up and I suppose that's what has brought me here! I currently have two rescue pups (Auggie and Darla) and one current foster (Burt Reynolds), all Shar Peis, so I have helped out their rescue here and there with whatever they need. Home visits, springing pups from the shelter, fundraising, etc. To say that I lose sleep over all of the animals out there that need families would be an understatement for sure. My boyfriend (who assists me from time to time) grew up working with family in veterinary offices and also currently manages a human-grade, breed-specific dog deli in Audubon Park which has helped many ailing (and non-ailing) pups, so needless to say helping pets live happy, healthy lives is HUGE for us. I am available for walks, stop-by visits or extended in-home stays with your pet(s) which will also include house-sitting elements in your absence such as watering plants, bringing in mail, drawing the curtains to give it a "lived-in" appearance, etc. I am also able to provide pet sitting services for exotic animals, rodents, birds, and cats.
