Young dog lover willing to travel

Pet care experience

Hi my name is Jessie and I'm looking for a side job while I'm in school at San Francisco State University. I live on campus so sadly I can only do travel sitting but I love dogs. Throughout my 18 years, I've had 5 dogs. Scooby and Scrappy were my first two dogs and the definition of perfect. They lived for about 17 years until their suffering was a cause to be put down. Now I have Heidi, a rottweiler and the sweetest pup, Kitsu, a grumpy shiba, and Chuey, a lovable doofus. These three dogs are back home but I still love them and miss them with all my heart. I have experience caring for them and I love all dogs so it would be a pleasure looking after anyone's dog. I'm putting 7 years of experience because it wasn't until 7 years ago that I had responsibility of feeding, walking, or meds. Since I currently go to school, I won't be available as much as I would like to. I still need to do homework and what not but I will dedicate as much of my time as I can cause being around dogs truly relaxes me and is something that I could seriously use with the stressors of college.

Jessie is very trustworthy and responsible. She is great with animals, and has taken excellent care of our three dogs, both short- and long-term. She always arrives on time, is professional, and most of all, our dogs love her. I would highly recommend Jessie!

My experience administering medication Only if it's safe, I know some dogs hate taking medication and I don't want to get bitten. But if it's relatively safe and easy to give them their medication then I'm on board.

Information Jessie W. would like to know about your pet

I have no breed preferences when it comes to dog sitting/walking. I love all dogs, all colors, all breeds, all sizes. I would just want to know any specific things, like feeding routines, if they need medications, how they let you know they need to go to the bathroom, etc. Anything that I could possibly need to know to make the sitting experience go as smoothly as possible.

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog As much time as I can. It would depend on the day though. Since I go to SFSU, I have classes and I need time to do homework but I would be happy to do homework at your home while watching your dog(s). I'm trying to plan my schedule for next semester in chunks so I have large time gaps to do other things but I will be happy to discuss this at the meet and greet because I know some dogs need more attention than others. Extra house-sitting services Anything you want me to (within reason). I'll make sure to keep your home clean so you would have nothing to worry about.

Why I love dog sitting Ever since I was born to be honest. Before I was born, my family adopted two dogs: Scooby and Scrappy. They were both mixed breeds and we really didn't know what they exactly were. But they were the best dogs I've ever had. Trained well, even listened to me as a kid. Sat when told to, able to walk off leash, friendly as could be, and never ran away. They were seriously the best part of my childhood. They lived a long and happy life of about 16 years before they had to be put down. Scooby had really bad hip dysplasia and Scrappy developed cancer. It was a sad day when we had to put them down but I like to think they're in a better place. Several months afterwards, my mom surprised us with a shiba inu puppy, which we named Kitsu. Adorable as all hell, she didn't know the behaviors of the breed. So he's really stubborn and loves to run away. We manage to find him every time though so it's always good. Most of the time is seems like he's more of a cat than a dog but I still love him. A year after we got Kitsu, we got Heidi our rottweiler. She was pretty much amazing from the beginning, despite the potty training issues. She's very loving and protective of our whole family but I know she would never hurt someone. And then for now we have Chuey, who is my brother's dog. Chuey is supposedly a jack russel mix but he's the size of a small horse so I highly doubt that. He's probably the goofiest dog you'll ever meet. He loves to sit on people's laps even though he's massive. My life wouldn't be complete without dogs in my life.
