Pet care experience
Giving affection, time, food, and exercise to animals makes me happy. I have years of dog-sitting and house-sitting experience and love taking care of animals of all kinds. I've watched all ages of dogs and groups of up to 5 dogs at a time. I've taken care of cat and dog families, as well as some geckos, and in my housesitting experience I've also helped out with yard and gardening tasks. Because I enjoy being outside--on trails, in parks, running and hiking--taking care of dogs makes the adventure and/or exercise more fun! But I'm also happy to play in the yard or relax inside, whatever the particular needs are of your pet. I have had dogs almost my whole life but just moved to Minneapolis from Alaska and don't have a pet these days, so I'd love to get some dog fun time in this way. Playing in the snow and getting out in the winter is also a must! As for longer stays with animals, I'm an experienced house-sitter and enjoy reading and drawing, so having down time with an animal in their home in addition to active time is welcome to me.

I am so grateful to Jessie for swooping in at the last minute to watch my kitties! She is a dream to work with and came over before I left on a trip to get to know my two furry boys. It made me so comfortable to leave town because I knew they were in excellent hands with a loving and responsible sitter for the weekend. They looked healthy and fluffy as ever when I got home. I will be reaching out to her for every trip now!
Jessie was fabulous! Took care of my pup for 4 days and stayed at my apartment over thanksgiving. Not only did she spend some great time playing and walking our dog, she also cleaned up a few doggy accidents, did the dishes and cleaned up the bathroom! Mattie had such a great time and was tired out when we got back from all the fun with Jessie!
Jessie is the bomb! I have had the pleasure of knowing her as a neighbor, coworker, and friend, and she has taken great care of my (sometimes rambunctious) dog Scout on several weekends out of town. Jessie is friendly, responsible, communicative, and most importantly has an affinity for four-legged friends. I couldn’t recommend her more.

I'd like to know the habits of the dog on and off leash, their relationship to food (food aggression, habits of getting treats for certain things, how owners like the dog to behave before being fed or getting a treat, etc) and if they have any triggers (in the house or outside--like passing other animals on leashes, etc). I like to know if they like to jump on counters so I know whether to protect a sandwich etc :) and what furniture (if any) they are allowed to enjoy.
A typical day
I like going to various dog parks in town, if it's a good fit for the dog. I also like taking dogs on runs on Cedar Lake Trail or other trails around the lakes and in parks. I like playing fetch, or just running around and goofing off.
