Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting for friends and family since I was a teenager. After High School I worked for a high end pet sitting and dog walking company in New York state. I to Florida after that and didn't work in pet care except to care for my family's dogs and chickens when they went out of town. We moved to New Mexico in 2019 and I joined Rover shortly after. It has been a joy to serve this community by caring for their pets.

Jessica has always done a good job for me checking in in my cat and fish. I highly recommend her.
Jessica did a great job with my cat. She came to the house as promised and took time petting my kitty. My cat is not friendly with people but loved having jessica came. Would recommend and i plan on having her again.

I am very careful with doors and keep awareness of where pets are before opening them so they don't go outside when they aren't supposed to. I keep bags on me for picking up after your pet and if an accident happens while you are gone I will do my best to clean it and I will let you know when I found it. I do not bring my own treats because of allergies and dietary preferences unless requested.

I need to know how your pet is with strangers. This is to assure safety for both of us. We will meet at least once before your service but sometimes pets can be weird when someone comes in without the owner around. I also need to know if there are any changes to their diet, medications or if they had recent injuries or surgeries.
A typical day
With my current clients we walk at least a mile most days during the 30 minute time slot. When the weather is terrible or the pavement is too hot we play games in the back yard. I know how important it is for pets to get a break outside and to get some energy out. I will walk dogs in the rain if we are in an area not prone to flooding and it is requested. I bring towels with me to clean mud from their paws and dry them off after playing. Sometimes, when I have permission, I take dogs for a ride in the car to go explore a trail or a park.
