Registered Veterinary Nurse
Pet care experience
I've taken care of a wide variety of different animals from a very young age. These have either been owned by myself, family or friends. I also knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue a career in animal care/nursing. When I left school I went on to complete a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Management which allowed me to go on and train as a Veterinary Nurse. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse back in 2014 and have since worked in a number of different veterinary practices including first opinion, charity and specialist referral. I spent 9 years working in a referral practice where I cared for dogs and cats with complex health conditions varying from medical, orthopaedic, soft tissue, neurological, cardio, oncology and emergency & critical care. I have years of experience working out of hours where I triage patients and deliver emergency and life saving care including the deliverance of CPR. I am also able to give various medications should your pet require them including tableting and/or injections.
Reviews
Jess took care of my cat Delilah when I went away for a couple of nights recently. She is normally a very nervous cat so I was abit worried to leave her but I needn’t have been! Jess kindly sent me a photo update of Delilah sitting enjoying cuddles with her which is a real testimony to how brilliant Jess is as she normally takes a long time to warm up to people. Thank you so much Jess you’re brilliant ❤️
I would trust Jess with my life and pets. She cares for them like her own. Very friendly and professional. Choosing Jess also gave me that extra confidence knowing she is a registered veterinary nurse and worked in a referral hospital for years. Highly recommend. My pets love her x
Jess has looked after my cats, Milo who has recently had urinary issues and required tablets and Barney who is diabetic and requires twice daily injections. As Jess is a veterinary nurse I’m more than happy to leave my pets in her care.

Please do let me know if your dog or cat has any specific or behavioural needs so I can take this into consideration when looking after them for you.
A typical day
Having grown up surrounded by many different dog breeds, I have a keen interest in their abilities and behaviours. Training has always been a passion of mine growing up as my Grandad always owned and worked gun dogs! Mental stimulation is very important for dogs as well as physical however, they may not always be able to get up and outside due to certain circumstances. Owning a very high energy dog myself, I have done a lot of research on the different ways I can work his busy brain! From puzzle feeders to scatter feeding to putting him through sniffer dog training which he has recently passed at Gold level!! Did you know that just 20 minutes of sniffing is the equivalent to an hours walk?!
