Hi! Local dog lover here :) I had a black lab for 14 years who passed away a few years ago. Since then, I've only had cats. While I LOVE cats, I really miss dogs! I love walking with them, hanging out with them; just being around them is so wonderful! I used to run a small dog walking business in Burke, but now I've relocated to Woodbridge and am looking for new clients (: I'm close to the intersection of Old Bridge Rd and Minnieville Rd in Lake Ridge. I'm available for walks and home visits and I'm comfortable with small to medium sized dogs of all ages. We can walk in the neighborhood around your home or to nearby trails. If your dog likes dog parks, we can visit one or we can just hang out in your yard. If you think we'd be a good fit, please contact me! :)

Jessica was great! We hired her for a week when we were out of town. She sent pictures and a text letting me know that she had stopped by so I didn’t worry. My dog loved her!
Our dog looked forward to Jessica and their walks and their naps. As our dog aged Jessica took her out separately so they could go at a slower pace. I know Jessica would just sit with her and pet her as she got tired. Unfortunately our dog has past. But i am so grateful for the love Jessica shared with her. I can't imagine a better more responsible person to care for your special family member.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or behaviors that I should be aware of. I prefer dogs who are already good walkers, because I'm not qualified to provide dog training (and I've had some experiences with some very strong, crazy dogs lol.)
A typical day
With a typical walk, I travel to my client's home, use a key or keypad to enter, and greet the dog (: Then if there are any little tasks I've been asked to do before the walk, I'll do those. Then I'll put the dog in the harness and/or attach the leash. And then we'll head out for our walk. When we return, we'll take off the harness/leash and I'll do whatever post walk tasks I need to do. Then I will say goodbye to the dog (and any other pets) leave/lock up (:

Availability
Because I have my own business teaching music lessons, I have availability in the morning and early afternoon for home visits and walks. I can come early, mid-morning, around noon, etc.
