I grew up with dogs and cats my whole life. I also worked at a dog kennel/ training facility for 4 years in Upstate New York. At maximum, the kennel would hold 50 dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and breeds. I am comfortable walking and handling large or giant breeds despite my petite stature. I prefer to dog sit at the dog's residence. This allows your dog to feel comfortable while you are away. I strictly do drop-ins on the weekends since I work Monday-Friday. I can always make an exception as long as it doesn't affect my work schedule. A little more information about my dog. His name is Logan and he is a 13 years-old mutt. I adopted him from a shelter in upstate NY when he was just 4 weeks old. Where does the time go?! Like I said, he's an American Mutt, which means he has a little bit of everything. In his old age he has gotten grumpy around young and energized dogs but loves the company of people. My husband and I have two young kids (3 and 1.5 year olds) and Logan is so gentle and kind with them. He also loves cats, although most cats don't reciprocate his sentiment.
